    I recently purchased an Xbox Series X (Console A) to play games that are not compatible with my Xbox One (Console B).

    I share Console A with my significant other, they do not have their own Microsoft account and have started playing a game and saved their progress while signed into my gamertag (Account A).

    Occasionally while they are playing on Console A, I want to play a different game on Console B. In order to do this I had to set Console B as my home Xbox and create a different account (Account B). However because I am signed in as Account B I can not access any of my saved data on Account A.

    Based on my research it is impossible to play 2 different games on 2 different Xbox’s while signed into one account (even though I only want to play offline games), which is very frustrating. The only solution is that one of us will have to switch to using Account B and lose whatever saved progress they have on games originally played on Account A. Not ideal.

    Is it possible to access saved data from Account A, while signed in on Account B?

    The save data for Account A cannot be accessed by Account B. It's one of the many reasons why it's important for each user to have their own account.

    No. Save data will only work for the account it is tied to.

    I understand you want to transfer your saved data from one account to another. But regrettably, this is not possible if you do not have access to the main account or the old account that has the saved data.

    How many accounts are you using? because you will need two accounts the main one and secondary account. The main one you will need to set one console as the home Xbox then sign in with sign out with the main account and sign in with the secondary account
    then on the other console sign in with the main account.

    Xbox #1

    Main Account: (Set as home Xbox) and signed out (do not remove from console)

    Secondary account: singed in

    Xbox #2

    Main Account: Singed in

    Secondary account: not necessary

    You can switch your home console 5 times a year if you have used all 5 I can tell you how to reset them if necessary.
