Is it possible my Xbox 360 S 250GB Hard Drive is corrupted?

I bought a secondhand Xbox 360 S from a friend, but games freeze up every 3 hours or so on digital, but they don't crash with my physical copies.

Could there be an issue with the hard drive itself? I've been running it for around 4 hours straight now with a physical copy of NHL '10, and it hasn't crashed yet.

Grand Theft Auto San Andreas download/disc issue

I bought a 4GB Xbox 360 S, then bought a 250GB Microsoft hard drive. Im pretty sure it is Microsoft official because when I look at my storage options it says Microsoft in the bottom right corner (on the 250GB hard drive)

Upgrading my hard drive.

Hello.

I am thinking of upgrading my hard drive in my xbox 360 slim, standard is 250GB, and I would like to put in a 500GB drive.

Is that possible without getting trouble?

Try plugging in a USB Flash drive and move the game to it and play from there?

I would try clearing the data cache and/or redownloading the digital games. might help or fix the issue. If not then like what Lord Banej said try it from a usb, if that works then it could be a hard drive issue.

One last thing, While my 4gb Internal Hard drive is corrupted.... Can I still use a 250gb External hard drive? So instead of booting to the 4gb, it will boot to the 250gb? is that possible??

My internal 360 Hard Drive has 1.5gb of space available. I believe that my 250GB hardrive is an official Xbox 360 console hard drive (Bought from Amazon, says Made in China, serial number 12210058706015), and I get no error codes, only a restart.

After clearing my cache 3 times(with the 250GB hadrdrive in the console) and attempting to restart my console, it refuses to get past the start up and continues to restart when the 360 turns on with the hard drive in it. It still operates fine when the
250GB hard drive is not in the console. Has the hard drive been corrupted?
