Is it OK to suck?

Well I suppose the title says it all.

I haven't actually got round to playing MP yet, but taking my past experience in CoD (go 0.2K/D ) I imagine I'm going to get steam rolled.

Main thing I would like to know, is should I just not bother, or are there some (shall we say) older, less reactive, new player friendly servers that seem to be good fun no matter how bad you are.

Yeah thought of that but don't have his email either. Only thing I got is his gamertag and it's against code of conduct if I ask his email address through chat or message. Well if there's no way I guess I have to forget about helping him till he gets money
to go gold again.

If you have the code on a card that has not been used - I don't see why you can't send to them. They are single-use codes anyway.

 

just fill your role in battlefield! if you are a medic revive and heal people. support throw out that ammo. engineer fix your teams vehicles and destroy the enemies! recon don't use it!lol you can have the least amount of kills in a match and have the
best score! that's what is great about battlefield! and always go for the objective!

 

there are videos online called how to do good in battlefield! they helped me a lot when I first started playing this series!

 

You gotta start somewhere. Who cares if you suck? Just have fun.

 

Trial by fire. Only way to learn is to take the plunge. Since you're new to the game play, just understand that you will probably die... a lot. I did. Also understand that this isn't a pick up and play on the fly type of game. The maps are considerably
larger, there are more opponents to account for and player controlled vehicles are involved. There is a considerable learning curve for anyone that has never played. It will take you some time to learn and understand everything Battlefield brings to the table,
but it's completely worth the effort in my opinion. By the way, age is only an excuse. I'll be 43 in a few short months and I'm more than able to hold my own. Learn this game and find out what you've been missing out on. It may have had a nightmare of a launch,
but it's a fantastic FPS right now. See you on the playground!

just camp in a corner...thats what most players do

 

campers are easy to deal with. c4 or rpg works everytime!!

 

Dude, I am a BF3 veteran, and I find myself getting killed all the time.

You just need to test yourself on each class and find out whether you prefer to heal, destroy vehicle, provide supression or ammo, or spot out enemy forces

 

I get jacked all day long in this *** game. But I love it. It's when you get to jack others up and know how they feel. That's what brings me back.

 

I was late buying this game. Wasn't a day 1 buyer. So still unlocking tons of stuff. Plus I bought premium on Black Friday. Also doing assignments can get you into trouble. But yeah I go pretty much negative every game. But still top 5 or 10 most games
just throwing down ammo and health packs and capturing objectives. I pretty much not the one man army I use to be like on Bad Company 2 carry a entire team alone on rush. So I just try to fit in as a team player repairing helicopter mid flight or throwing
mines around objectives and healing or replenishing ammo. I'm still a aggressive player though. Probably why I go negative a lot on Metro and Locker. I did single handedly won Metro a couple days back. We were the lower spawn team. I broke out to the
far left tunnel and made it outside to the apartment buildings and capped it and was 200 ticket points behind and came back for the win.

 

find some people you like to hang with and play with them - makes the game way more enjoyable, suck or no suck. K/D is not the main stat in this game (for conquest mode anyway) its flag cap/defends and squad score. Like Boot sez, there are 4 roles available
to you, find one you feel comfortable in and use it to support your team.

And lookit me - I'm 55 and play 3-4 times a week.
