Is it ok to play a disc game while on the road?

so I’m going on a road trip tomorrow and they vehicle we’re taking has tv’s and I’m able to hook my xbox up to it. I wanna play games offline but the only ones I can do that with are ones I have on a disc. will it ruin my disc even if I put my xbox in a safe spot on the ground, and secure it in one position as much as I can? I know there is a chance it could ruin it, but I wanna know if that chance is high or low. Thanks.

There's a very high chance you would not only ruin any disc you're playing but you'd almost certainly damage the console itself.

If you must play games on a console in a car then stick to digital but even then i wouldn't advise it.

Just don't.. waiting till it's not moving is the only way to be safe your going to ruin your machine and the disc just play safe and don't..

I mean it'll depend on how smooth the ride is. If you hit a bug pothole or bump it could damage your disc.

Ok, if your disc has a circular ring around the disc, it will completely ruin your disc, this happens when you move the console while it is on and the game is in it and it will ruin the game.

You can't play a disc game while installing another disc game

But you can play a disc game while another is downloading, play a download while installing a disc or play a download while installing another download.

Is it ok to play a disc game while on the road?
