They have a marketplace on PC that let's players download and use Player created skins and cosmetics. But Console has no access too...     Is it not allowed to add cosmetic files to games?


    Take War Thunder. They have a marketplace on PC that let's players download and use Player created skins and cosmetics. But Console has no access too it. Would it violate terms of service to download them from the website to the Xbox? Seeing as to Xbox has access to the internet? Would it even work?

    Sadly alot of players do modify game files and in most cases, ia a policy violation.

    Sadly if the publishers did not provide the mods, it will not be allowed and sadly if these modifications are not offered in the Xbox store, it will be classified as unauthorized software or mods and will not work.

    Cosmetic or Beneficial

    If cosmetics in a game are purely cosmetic then I go with which looks best.

    But if cosmetics add buffs then I go whichever ever has the best buffs or stat boosts no matter how ridiculous it makes my character look.

    Hello I would personally like to know why Microsoft has removed modding capabilities to xbox game pass games I do not know if it is just me but my enable mods button is not there.

    Well no as it's not modablr

    If you look at the description it doesn't have mods.supportrd

    If you are talking about threads only ones available aren't offical and they are for the steam version and are community based not developer supported doing so risks the integrity of the game if you don't do it right I know cause I have crashed a game saves with such mods

    Xbox games are encrypted you can't just replace files randomly

    Some games require certain apps like fluffy manager by nexus mods which is only cosmetic and non gameplay affecting

    Cosmetic ones are safer

    Gameplay affecting one's can put your game saves at risk

    Or example money or weapon cheats can break the order of the game events

    Fyi cheating mods aren't allowed on xbox live

    Cosmetic ones are at the discretion of the developer not you if they want to allow it and usually it's thru in-game menus

    It's an anti cheat measure

    You aren't supposed to manipulate game saves that's cheating and a clear violation if the rules

    If you are trying ti add mods it's not supported till 2024

    And it wouldnt be your gamesaves you do it on cosmetics is game files not game saves

    Fyi starfield is an online only game so no you can't upload your modded files backed up with cloud saves that will just end badly for you

    IMO, anyone who doesn't use the standard pad (cosmetic alterations allowed) is cheating!
