Is it normal for an Xbox One S to make a creeking sound?

I have a weird creeking noise constantly when using my Xbox One s

Is this normal?

And if it's not how do I go about reporting this? Do I need to prove the sound or will I have to send it away?

If I've had it for less than a year, will it be free of charge/under guarantee

I will try and add a sound file later

Controller & media remote compatibility

Hi

I feel stupid for asking this but I wanted to make sure.

I've just bought an xbox one s and I need a new controller, and a media remote for plex.

Does the normal xbox one controller still work on the xbox one s? The normal xbox one controller is a bit cheaper on ebay.

I also can't find a specific xbox one s media remote so I'm taking it the media remote for the xbox one works perfectly find on the S?

As I said I feel a bit stupid for asking and I'm sure they both work just fine on the S.

Xbox One S fan noise

hey guys is it Normal for the Xbox One S to have a noisy fan because my Xbox One S has the noisy fan and I don't know if this is normal or not

Hi, it shouldn't make any sound like that especially if it didn't always do that.

If it's too bothersome or affecting performance I would send it away for a repair. You can set up a repair

here.

If it's under a year it should still be under warranty.

What kind of sound?,this is actually normal,i got a xbox one S too and make like a little click sounds when is off(with the insta on off),i'm aware all the xbox one "S" make this particular noise,so if your hardware runs ok you should be not be worry about
that ^^

sounds like someone's been opening up there Xbox to mod it. I have the gears of war console and there's nothing loose on it actually its pretty solid it doesn't make creeking sounds like my old Xbox whenever I pick it up

Well, a 'grinding' noise certainly doesn't sound good. However, my Xbox 360 S will make a short, loud whirring sound sometimes, which is perfectly normal.

I think no xbox sounds the same.

I went through 5 360's and not one of the had a fan noise i would consider normal.

My current 360 doesnt sound normal either but it works fine so never saw the point of getting it replaced.

My friends consoles dont sound right either although none sound the the same.

I think a perfect sounding console is an impossible dream so unless it makes a really bad sound like loud buzzing or grating sound i wouldnt worry
