Technically you should only be sharing to a second console you physically own, or in the same property on the same network, this is a very grey area and could potentially lead to a ban of some kind for market place theft, the original version of Xbox one
terms would have aloud this but after the kiddies stomped there feet that was changed.

  2. Rather it was the people who decided they didn't want their games tied to DRM.

Imagine if this Christmas you couldn't play any of your One titles because of Microsoft undergoing a DDoS attack.

Why is it that people can only see the positives but yet ignore all the negatives that the DRM would have brought along with them.

To be fair to me, they sorted the attack at xmas pretty quick. My son was still able to download Destiny and AW over Xmas day. We only had a few problems through the afternoon and that was it.

  5. Yet I know people who couldn't get on at all on over Christmas because of the DDoS attack. It seems to have hit some locations far more than others.

That's why I greatly disliked the original ideas Microsoft had for the One. Yes the game share idea was good but I wasn't willing to risk losing access to even single player games because of script kiddies to get it.

Lost, I agree with you on many cases but you are not correct here. You are not sharing an account.. you are borrowing a console and playing those games under YOUR account. Even in the official MS terms... it clearly states designate the most used console
    as your "home"

Think of it this way... instead of letting your friend borrow a disc... you let him borrow your console... that is what it comes down to...

It seems fairly plain that a good many are actually sharing accounts in order to take advantage of the feature. So yes it's legit if used as intended and not legit if abused.

Sharing an account would be like that kid that hit a million gamerscore... multiple people logged onto his account to play games non stop..

Sure it sounds like you are passing along your information... but you could also just go to that console yourself... log in,,, make it your HOME.. log out... and the owner of that console would no longer have your log in ID as you do not need to log in
(using one way to play using GOLD share)

Like I said.. it is meant for families and close friends... and there will be people who do abuse it by hooking up with strangers to share... but that is not illegal or against any terms of service...it is stupid.. not allowed

tohellnbak, sorry but you are not correct.

Put it to the test. You want to "borrow my Console", you will need my Account (both Email and Password). The
only way you can get my Home Console is for me to give you my Account. This is a Violation of the ToU. I would Violate the ToU when I provide my Account to someone else. You Violate the ToU when you "borrow" and DL my Account. People
get Perma-Banned all the time for this and you and anyone else who have been here for more then a day knows this.

No where from any Official Document or Spokespersons did any of them ever say it was "okay" to "share" Accounts. I don't need to Link the ToU for this.

Lost come to my house... log in yourself... make my console YOUR home.. log out...

Go back to your house.. log IN..

I now log back into my console... and play your games.. with no account being logged in...

  12. I know right, on that video link I posted up there, as someone already said as well here, just check the comments, wth? I don't think it was made to be used like that, where people "share" they accounts with someone they might not even now just to get new
games for free, that's not what I was trying to do. I was basically sharing between mine and my cousin's console, since we live near to each other.

I have done this with 360 and the One.

I have 4 360 actually and buy games on one console and use them on my main console (not the one I purchased on). My account does not have the password saved so I have to put that stuff in to use it. This way my son can use the games as well. I do this
with the other 2 consoles for my other 2 sons. This allows them to share games. Of course this is only for digital since disc based games can easily be shared.

On the One it is the same. Currently I have my main console set as "My Home Console". I am going to change that to the console that my son received for his birthday so that they can all play any digital games I buy. I will still be able to use them myself
    with my personal main console.

I personally do not do this with anybody. I just do this with my consoles at home. And I found that the One seems to work like the 360. I can play the game while my wife and kids play. Might be a digital driver for me if that continues to work since
we could share the games for playing together instead of split screen.

If you go and log in your details yourself that is fine. If you share your account details with some random over the web just to exploit the system that is not legit. It's not rocket science.

Egg.. passing along your password to stranger is just silly... if they want to do that... with a total stranger and they loose their account... so be it... their fault.

Sure there are people that do it with strangers I am sure... take the chance...

but I bet most are done with good close friends and family members in the same house...

that is what it is intended for...
