First of all I apologize if this isn't the right section for such thread, I'm really confused on where I should put this.

So I been seeing here a lot of tutorials here on how to share games between accounts with 2 (or more) consoles.

Basically, one of the console profiles (Let's say this is console 1) must have bought a digital game to his account, so his profile must be downloaded at console 2 and enabled there as "My home console", while console's 2 owner must do the same thing on
console 1, downloading his account there and, by lying, saying that console 1 is his "Home console" as well. This way any profiles at each consoles can play each other games for free, which, from my point of view, isn't what the feature "My home console" was
    supposed to do.

The question is, this seems to work, so is it legal to do so, or is it an illegal glitch?

    :)

More than two Xbox One consoles is totally pointless if you don't plan on buying multiple copies of a digital game. That's why I stopped at two consoles. You could always buy disc. They're cheaper and easier to share between
    3 consoles IMO.

XBOX ONE is set to share between consoles. But this could be in a gray area of the law. But I do not know what part the utuber crossed.

I guess people really try to go out of their way for stolen Accounts and Perma-Ban for Marketplace Theft.

    The two clues should be-

    1. You need to "trust" that person. lol I don't "trust" my parents.

    2. You need to lie and claim another Profile belongs to you. If you have to lie about something, then surely it must be okay.

The internet is a never ending supply of bad choices and people who think it's okay to do so.

Not trusting parents goes without saying. Though if you can't trust random strangers on the internet...it's just not a world I want to live in. ;-)

A guy at work was selling a item on (Auction site.) when he was offered $200.00 dollars more than his asking price if he would cash a check for them and send them the difference. He did, and found out days later the cashiers check was bogus, and is now overdrawn
with plenty of fees and bounced checks. My only reply to him was,"Hmm. I would've never seen that coming.".

    Peace, J.R.

It has been on the interent since day one.. Nov 2013 about how this works...

thee are 100s of threads and videos made about it...

gaming sites have tutorials on how to

MS themselves explains how to do it... on their own site

yet still we can do it...

Not only is it legal, it's officially supported. I have it set up with a friend, works great, although it goes without saying only do this with someone you know and trust.

Another supposed 'grey area' is buying region free games from other marketplaces (at a lower cost). This is also completely fine... the Director of Xbox Marketing publically stated use prepaid cards and you'll be okay. I've bought many games at nearly
    half the price this way.

That YouTube video you linked us to.... nearly EVERY comment in that video goes like this: "Hey guys, my gamertag is ABCXYZ, I own such & such games, who wants to share accounts with me? I'm looking for this & this games."

I don't think the system was intended for these purposes. That is the very definition of marketplace theft. Illegal? Perhaps, but the issue isn't with the legality of it... you'll get your Xbox Live account banned for thievery.

Egg.. passing along your password to stranger is just silly... if they want to do that... with a total stranger and they loose their account... so be it... their fault.

Sure there are people that do it with strangers I am sure... take the chance...

but I bet most are done with good close friends and family members in the same house...

that is what it is intended for...

^^ I know what the "Home" system is meant for. I was just commenting about how people are (naturally) abusing it... and being so open about it.

tohellnbak - Could you give me the link of the thread where MS themselves explain and say it's "right" to do so? I was looking so badly for it, before posting here, on an official Microsoft website but couldn't find it.

There's no Official Link because it is in Violation of the ToU to allow someone else to use your Account. You are not supposed to "share" an Account as it for the person who created it and no one else.

Bottom line is the ToU, not what some Support claiming jockey on any Site said. The problem that people are conveniently blinding themselves by misquoting sources such as Major Nelson or whoever is no where do any Official Spokespersons ever say it is "okay"
to give your Account information to someone "if you trust them". That's not what the system is for.

In the near future I see a huge Ban-wave of Marketplace Theft and people crying "they said it was okay".
