Is it just me (the headset)

Is it just me or does anyone else find the basic Xbox One headset difficult to unplug? I don't know, perhaps I'm just afraid I'll break something, but it seems to take a lot of pulling to unplug it. Is it supposed to be like that? I'm kinda happy I can't
accidently unplug it all the time like on 360 but seriously, is it really supposed to be so difficult to unplug or is mine failty? Or, perhaps there's a trick I'm not aware of?

Its been a year and I'm only on Prestige 4 (level 50)... I thought I would be higher in a year of playing but I rage quit a few months ago because of the problems of Black Ops ( Netcode and Spawns)...

Most of the complaints I've heard about this game are those 2 items.... whereas in WaW it was Juggy and Mp40..

On a bright side I would have to say the Perks are pretty much balanced in Black Ops... along with most weapons.. and the theater mode was awesome and so was the unique Emblem maker...

But I would almost rather have an overpowered Perk (ala MW2) than horrible Host Lag and Spawn System made from deranged smurfs smoking Crack Cocaine..

 

Is it just me?

Or has the COD forums here turned into "Whine about every little thing that doesn't tickle you pink!"

I've just been reading, and almost every post here is about people whining about how much they hate this game, yet for some reason it's always on their top played list.

 

Mine is like that as well, on both of my controllers. I also find it difficult to plug in, while my headset adapter is easy to plug and unplug. I just make sure to never pull it by the wire.

 

My Turtle Beach headset doesn't seem to have to any issues like that

 

I guess it's partly because there are those buttons on the top of the part that connects to the controller. I don't like having to almost crush those buttons to unplug the headset...

 

Yep mine too, I gotta literally get a vice like grip on the connection unit and jam my thumb into the buttons and yank. Annoys me everytime. However I suppose it's better than it falling out all the time.

 

If you look carefully at the headset plug itself, specifically the little 'tab' that hugs the bottom of the controller, you'll see a small raised lug. Looking on the bottom of the controller, where this tab rests, you'll also see a small groove that lug
fits into... they lock together when it's plugged in so that it doesn't accidentally pull apart, or at least not very easily. The trick I found is to grab that little tab... then pull, while prying a little... kind of like you're going to open a plastic butter
container lid I guess? I just make a... I guess you could call it a hook kind of shape... with the hand I use to unplug it. I don't even have to grasp it that way, it just pops off. At least that's how it works for me.
