  1. Is it a good time to upgrade to the Xbox One (S or X, it doesn’t really matter)

Hello everyone! Back in 4th grade I finally got my parents to buy me an Xbox 360 so i could play games with all my friends, only a few years later the Xbox One comes out and all my friends upgrade and leave me behind, i actually still have the 360 to this
day. I think it’s time i get a new Xbox to play with my friends again, i’ve been looking at the Xbox One S which appears to be the perfect console for me, but the problem is that i don’t want to purchase it if it’s going to be replaced by a newer generation
console (because i bought the 360 late so the Xbox One came out about 2 years later) so is right now a good time to buy an xbox one? i want to be able to use it for years before a newer generation xbox comes out.

    :)

    Xbox One X controller quality

About a month ago I bought a One S halo bundle and was loving it. Then I decided to upgrade to a new 4K w/ hdr so I figured “what the hell?” and got a One X as well. My concern/inquiry is that both controllers appear identical other than color, except the
Xbox button. Either way, the buttons on the black X controller seem to be a good deal looser where as the S controller is super tight. I guess I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced this with the X controller and is it something I should be concerned
about? Even if it doesn’t fail right away, will the warranty cover a replacement?

    Thanks

  3. 4 New Xbox One Backwards-Compatible Games Added Today!

    ..........

Hello "x Lucipurrr x" Is it a good time to upgrade to the Xbox One (S or X, it doesn’t really matter) :)

    .........

I totally agree with you 1000%

    ..........

I see this whole " Backwards Compatibility " campaign as repeat of the Xbox 360's draw to lure Original Xbox owners to upgrade (only this time around it is the Xbox 360 owners being lured to upgrade to the Xbox One).

Once the majority of the user base becomes Xbox One, I fully expect the addition of games in this Backwards Compatibility List to trickle down rapidly into nothingness as support for it (Xbox 360 Backwards Compatibility) is going to stop completely.

    ..........

Have a nice day or afternoon or night "x Lucipurrr x" Is it a good time to upgrade to the Xbox One (S or X, it doesn’t really matter) :)

Is it a good time to upgrade to the Xbox One (S or X, it doesn’t really matter)

I'd wait until Black Friday sales, that's when you get the really good sales I heard in American. Otherwise the S is a good model, but don't get it if it's not brand new and if it's not under $200. Don't buy second hand, and only buy from authorized retailers.
Buying new from an authorized retailers ensures you get to play on a console which wasn't banned from some previous owner, and you enjoy a 12 month warranty on it.

However the XBOX ONE X is currently THE MOST POWERFUL CONSOLE on the market, it thrashes PS4 Pro in terms of hardware specs. The issue is the Xbox One X is a MAJOR HARDWARE REVISION from the S and Original consoles:

    12GB GDDR5 @ 326GB/s bandwidth memory

Vapour cooling, better than air cooling

    2.3Ghz 8 core processor

    4k Blu-ray disc player

The Xbox One X will be a well respected hardware spec'd console for at least the next 6 years. Not quite so the S model which only has

    8GB DDR3 @ 68GB/s bandwidth memory

    1.75Ghz 8 core processor

    AIR cooling only

    4k Blu-ray disc player.

There's over 100 Xbox One X Enhanced games according to Microsoft. By today's standards, the S and original models equate to like a LOW END gaming PC. And that doesn't help future proof it. Where as the X, tho a bit more expensive, is more future proof in
that you'll get faster boot ups, faster shutdowns, faster UI on the Xbox One X thanks to the better processing power, and the GPU power on the X equates to a MID TO HIGH END range GPU power, so you can enjoy much prettier graphics.

DDR3 memory is not good for gaming, which is what the S and Original models have. That's why years back, more GPU's tend to use GDDR5 rather than DDR3.

However if you're really stingy and strict on your budget, and don't mind playing games with 1990's graphics, or don't mind weaker graphics; you can go for the S model.

I got Xbox late 2010 when the S model for Xbox 360 rolled out in Australia and NZ. My Xbox 360 Slim 250GB console is still working fine. I got the Xbox One day one Edition console in 2013 with Kinect, both are in storage, and now utilize my Xbox One X. And
overall, the X version is a more enjoyable experience. The S model can't really do 4k gaming cause the hardware is too weak, but the X model can since of the better hardware gaming. It won't be long until people move away from 1080p gaming and move onto 4k
gaming, just like when people moved on from Xbox 360's 720p gaming and onto Xbox One gaming at 1080p.

Rumours are that the next generation of consoles will start anytime between 2019 and 2020. The problem though is that from the sounds of it, you wont be paying for the new console, and would your parents want to spend $500 on a new console?

Will Xbox Series X be worth it

I think it's really a matter of choice. The good news is that all games released on the Series X will be available on the One X so you can get the One X now and when you're ready upgrade to the Series X and all those games go with you. But if you really
want the new console then go for the Series X.
