Is Halo: The Master Chief Collection four player split-screen?

While I only have two controllers, I remember there being news this summer about Halo: The Master Chief Collection having only up to two player local co-op, is this true? If so, I will be massively disappointed considering that Halo has always been well
known for it's local co-op. Thanks.

I don't think Halo 5 supports local split screen multiplayer if you want to play split screen I would suggest you try Halo Master Chief Collection.

Halo 5 Guardians does not have split-screen (aka couch co-op) capability. Halo: The Master Chief Collection does support split-screen gameplay however.

Correct me if I am wrong but I believe H:CE and H2 are 2 player couch co-op/2 player online and H3 and H4 are 2 player couch and 2 online or 1 and 3 online.

 

Some of it is two player co op but some of it can have up to four players. Halo CEA is only two player co op but Halo 3 is four player co op. Not sure about the others. There is an achievement that requires four controllers.

 

Halo CE and Halo 2 the campaign is 2 player co op and 4 player multiplayer. Halo 3 and Halo 4 I believe are 4 player co op campaign and multiplayer.

 

The campaign modes for Halo: CEA and Halo 2: Anniversary only support two-player split screen; the multiplayer modes all allow for up to four-player split screen.
