Is Halo: The Master Chief Collection completely broken?

It is going to take a lot more than The Master Chief Collection to knock Sony off it's high horse as you call it. 13 million consoles sold so far compared to 5 million Xbox One's. Sony outsold XBOX for 11 months straight....so far. Halo was dead after Halo
3.

 

A few things,

1. Not that it really matters, but your numbers are way off moose.(13.5mil shipped vs almost 10mil shipped. Sales at the current level for either platform is irrelevant as its more than enough to populate mp playlists for top games. Not to mention being
off-topic for this discussion) Also, Halo 4 was quite good, just different.(this is just an opinion ofcourse)

2. The matchmaking is busted, but even here in HK as long as I switch out after 4 minutes and relog, I am able to join a match in about 15-20 minutes.(which is unacceptable, but seeing as how they promised a patch in a few days to correct it, I can wait.)

3. Single player campaigns are buggy, but generally work well. (My copy skipped chapter 6 in Halo:CE for some reason.) I have not tried coop, but my guess is thats pretty bugged too.

Overall, as long as your capable of enjoying single player, the game is still quite good and of great value. Im burning through all the campaigns in order still, enjoying it thoroughly.(although H1's level design was far more annoying than I remember). I
suggest patience. Enjoy what you have.

I feel for you mate. Its absolutely pathetic im so angry they have *** this up.

Iv played xbox since i was 13 and had Halo CE on the big black brick. Iv supported them for all the time, as you said, even through the failure that was the xbox kinnect and even the xbox one to an extent.

I have stood by them all this time because i love Halo plain and simple. It has a special place in my heart and i swear to christ if they stuff it up i will not buy their products anymore.

Gamers need to stand up to this BS. This generation is a joke and its by far the worst iv experienced in all the years iv played video games. Half arsed unfinished products, everything is littered with micro transactions and DLC that isnt even real DLC.
It is so corrupt.

Im losing patience. We will see how this Halo update rolls out on Wednesday. If the game isnt fixed i will be sending it back. Enough is enough.

I am playing the X1 MCC of H4 and I cannot get the "Look inversion" to function when I am flying..! I am one who likes to fly like in a real plane... Push forward- look down..

No matter what controller option I use, I can not get the flight control to perform thi, even though the display is showing me that it will...

I get that this is a new software package and I am not the only one having issue here.... but is there someone or somewhere I can go to resolve this...

I actually think that as you go through your settings and scroll down there are more options and one of those is flight control. Pretty sure.

 

Have played all the games over the years, and was interested in revisiting them to see the reworking they'd done, but it sounds like things are in a bit of a mess at the moment. Is there an official word on whether these things are being looked at and fixed?

As good as the price is for this content, it still has to work, so hopefully they'll sort the issues out soon.

 

Game is still a complete mess. Absolute shame that they are still trying to get people to buy the game on the home page. shame.

 

Well at the forums they mention all of the work that they have put into so far with many server side updates. Matching making does work it's just not as fast as it can be and there will be another update later this week to help with the issues seen.

I have not had any problem installing the game, Story mode works there are a few spots where it seems that a script may be missing for some of the AI. I have not been stuck in a "menu screen" I have had carnage report screen freezes.

Man that option is in the settings i changed it myself two days ago.

 

I gave had the game since the release date, ad I STILL can't connect to one matchmaking game. It just keeps saying "searching for players" over and over. Then the campaign won't save where I left off last in halo 2 anniversary. Ugghhhhh I looked forward
to this for so long. It's my birthday present and yet I can't even play the parts that I want.

 

Huge Patch coming out tomorrow should fix many problems with matchmaking. You can still play customs with friends and recent players and its so much fun. Everything will be fine don't worry

 

The game is unplayable at this point. Crashed during cut scenes now!!! Can't get friends in a party together. Roster IS broken. MM is at best slow. Uneven teams. Crashes just before or just after a match.

I have never had such a poor experience with a game in my life. Every corner of this game has issues. It is truly embarrassing. I would have rather them ship a working version of Halo 2 anniversary and leave the rest out. Clearly it was more than 343i could
handle.

 

Patch has been pushed till "later this week".

I think something bad happened. Xbl problems, no achievements, 343 site down, halo channel down.

Maybe someone pulled the wrong extension cord?
