Is Halo: The Master Chief Collection completely broken?

Managed to get 1 game now. They have cut down playlists so its much quicker but looks to be pulling a host so no cloud maybe but at least its working

time to play the halo games on my 360. halo for the xbone is nothing but unadulterated garbage. don't buy it. it's broken as all hell and wont work for you

 

I get a game here and there. I get a game maybe 20% of the times I try. Good thing COD has no issues.. I will just play that instead.

 

if I told myself Mcc was the last game I buy on console because im tired of failed launch after failed launch, preordering disappointment after preordering disappointment, hype over game type, full game at launch vs preodred map packs allmost a year befor
game even hits the shelves so much hype most of it isn't even true. no other business model can operate like the gaming business model and stay in business. not McDonalds not Wallstreet, Wallmart not the gov. only gaming is free from responsibility and fault
when they promise but don't deliver. they get to keep the money and sell another lie next year....if I told myself mcc was the last game I ever buy what are the odds I stick to that? btw the digitally remasterd campaign is flawed, the best way I can explain
is the remasterd a square into a circle but you still cant shoot through the square. youll have to toggle graphics to find it or maybe bounce a sticky off an invisible object onto ones own head to be enlightend. but its pretty trashy that an art team would
do that and the engineering team not find it and fix it. will it stop you from completing the game, no. but it is of such low quality ive never seen it in a game ever til now. if static objects could lag.....

 

This is the very first Halo launch in history that a game is this broken they could have started to work on it 6 months to a year before when ever they started making the game before releasing it in this condition broken Single Player & Matchmaking all for
69.99$ plus taxes I'm gonna wait till there all fixed but very disappointed on how my favorite games were re published.

 

I have only been able to play in a few games and when me and a friend party up every single time it puts us on opposite teams, so nice. We even tried to play some campaign together and it wouldn't work. He was the leader/host and it kicked him out every
time saying "lost connection to host". How do you loose connection to yourself : )

 

Like many people on his forum, I have been a long time Xbox and Halo fan. Have bought every Halo since Halo 2 on it's launch day and stayed committed to buying an xbox one despite Microsoft's disastrous PR campaign and subsequent rollbacks vs the PS4 when
both were revealed. The reason I stayed committed to the xbox was this, Halo. I am a massive Halo fan and I probably play some version of Halo 80% of the time I sit in front of my console.

I was worried by how disparate 343's vision of Halo was from my own in Halo 4 (custom loadouts, unlimited sprinting and most importantly, NO SKILL RANK on your profile) but felt like they got a lot right and would learn from fan feedback for their next venture.
I loved the idea of Halo MCC and with its release impending I finally decided to splash the cash on an Xbox One last week to buy it on launch. I traded in my original copies of Halo 2, 3 and 4 along with Reach since I thought I wouldn't possibly need them
again.

Now I am left with a €500 sized hole in my pocket, and a completely broken game. I literally cannot find online games since the 13th November. Any updates they have released have not helped me AT ALL, in fact, I would confidently say the service has gotten
noticeably worse for me. In the last 3 nights I have spent approximately 6 hours waiting in matchmaking without finding a single game. Nothing. I have never been more angry with any purchase or felt more cheated.

I will never trust 343's handling of my beloved series again and I feel like Microsoft have really let their consumers down in allowing this to happen. Short of giving away Halo for free to early adapters I cannot see how they can repair the damage this
has done between themselves and a very loyal community. It is embarrassing that this game was deemed ready to release. If you have not yet bought a copy and are still considering do yourself a favour and stay the hell away. Buy COD or something I guess (sadface)
because this is making GTA Online's launch look like a perfect success story.

 

its not only matchmaking its also custom multiplayer games....8 friends had one he33 of a time connecting.... had to quit out of game completely and everyone rejoin almost after every match.

 

Are these problems just temporary? I didn't get the 1 yet but I want this game very badly right now lol. I'm hoping by the time I get it (around Xmas) that all this crap has been resolved. Will it be fixed by then? This game is the only reason that a lot
of people are even buying the 1 so it'd be a huge waste to go out and get it if this game didn't work. It's always something with Xbox. Always....something...RRRRRRR.

 

I can't even play Single Player of all 4 stories in Halo 1,2,3,4............

 

Campaign works fine until I need to save. As of last night the game freezes when searching for a match. Can't join a friend and if they join me it freezes. Oh yeah I show up on a friends roster but I'm not in there game, but the game won't let me search
for a match because I'm not the party leader. WTF. I've been disappointed with the quality of games being released, but this does it for me. I could play these games 10+ years ago on last gen or further systems, but not on my Xbox1? Been with Live since 11-11-04
and I'm not sure if I'll make it another year unless I go back to the 360.. My PS4 friends are laughing at me over this and for once I have nothing to say in return. At least I wasn't prompted to buy this game on the home screen today.

 

Has anyone else noticed today that you can't purchase the game digitally anymore?

 

I hadn't noticed that, and I have a digital copy. No more digital for me.
