Is gta5 profile saved online. Need new console

Paul from the Xbox Forums Team here to answer your question. All your sons data is synced up to the cloud so long as he has been connected to the internet. Meaning that when you get the new console he can just download his profile there and recover any games

All of the online progress for gta5 is saved on rockstars cloud. If your saved game from online was deleted, you will need to contact rockstar.

Do I need to save in story mode before starting GTA5 online?

If you signed in with your xbox one profile on the 360 and it was that same profile then it would have just loaded up the saved games that were already there so I am going with this is an offline profile situation.

1. If this is an offline profile issue you would have to follow the link to make that offline profile an online profile.

2. Once that is done this would make a new account with a new profile on it for you with those game saves on it.

3. You can then load up that profile on the One and if you want to continue through those game saves then you would need to play on that profile.

There is NO way to move the saved games to your new profile. You are going to have to convert your xbox 360 offline profile into an online profile and you would not be able to use the current xbox one profile/account to do it.

Hi, maybe the game save for that profile got corrupted as you say the power went out while the game was saving. Go to settings/ system/ storage, select your storage device and look for the GTA5 game folder, select that and look for files that say corrupted
or have a ! in yellow, you will need to delete those.
