Is Fallout 76 as bad as everyone says?

I'm just curious about your thoughts on this game. There are many reasons why I've skipped it and I've only heard negative feedback about this game.

Are there any good qualities about this game?

Cannot Review a Game I Own

I've been trying to figure out how to write a review of Fallout 76 and can't seem to be able to do so even though I preordered the game.

On the page there's a banner at the top that says "You own Fallout 76, included in this bundle."

However, under Ratings and Reviews it says "You are unable to rate or review as you do not own this product." I've tried both the Fallout 76 page and the Fallout 76 Preorder page. I am signed into my account and regularly
play Fallout 76 on Xbox Live with friends. I've tried to review it from both my Xbox and my computer as well.

What is the matter? Why can't I review a game I own?

 

Did I need to buy the pre order version of the game on the xbox store?

I recently bought Fallout 76 and I'm not getting any notification for getting access to the beta. I checked the store and there was the Fallout 76 I bought, and one that said "Fallout 76 Preorder". If there is a difference that will prevent me from getting
a way into the beta, how can I fix this/refund the game to get the Preorder version?

 

A lot of gamers are enjoying the game, so it can't be that bad. I think it all depends on what your tastes are in gaming & how much you are expecting from the game. I've just recently started Fallout 4, and i am really enjoying it so far, even though I
could never get into Fallout 3. As I said it all depends what your expectations are of the game. If you are expecting a lot of great things then you might be disappointed. Remember it is an online game, so would be best played with a bunch of gamers you know,
not just randoms.

 

Reading through a number of the reviews on Metacritic, it appears that many of the complaints are because the PC version is not available on Steam, and you must install a Bethesda Client. Then the next group of complaints is about the number and level of
glitches/bugs. Overall it is sitting pretty low in the scores, but I expect that bug fixes and updates will cover most of those issues, and anyone on a Console is not affected by the lack of Steam support.

I will wait and see what the patches bring before deciding.

 

Imo...it's not this bad, i'm playing on the One X and yes the graphic and the frame rate could have been better, but it's Fallout...maybe the map it's a little empty but i suppose they will add locations and event post launch.

If you love Fallout you'll like it.

 

The game is not bad, just need updating. You will surely enjoy playing the Coop game.

 

I think everyone has their own opinion. Watch some gameplays or buy the game and build your opinion. I think it's a different game from previous ones, but not bad.

 

I'm not bothered by glitches but the two complaints I hear the most which would bother me is that the world is empty and not much to do and also the fact there are no NPC's is a turn off.

I might get it if they do updates and maybe fix those issues.

 

I feel like they should have started beta testing earlier. Its not a bad game just needs some work.

 

This is a very subjective thing. Its an online multiplayer game primarily and i would suggest watching a few gameplay videos to see if you like how it looks and feels before purchasing.

 

I've been enjoying it, aside from the forced PVP aspect.

 

I don't own the game, since every time I watch a steaming usually I fall asleep, so I don't think it is worth it. It simply feels empty right now. Hopefully they'll improve the game and add more content, but removing NPCs leaving only the multiplayer interaction
was not a good change for the fallout series in my opinion.

 

Fallout 76, from my experience playing, is a lot more fun with friends than solo. There are definitely a ton of issues with the game and frankly some of them are game breaking, but if you have friends and know how to make your own fun then sure, its worth
it...maybe for about $30 on sale. As it stands right now this isn't a $60 AAA release, doesn't feel anything like a normal Fallout and if you enjoy a good story you'll be disappointed that there isn't one sadly.

TLDR; 76 is worth it when on sale possibly, but not before, and not before some major patches to fix the game systems.

 

I don't have it but heard some bad things of the game with game breaking bugs you can better wait until it has a good deal on it
