Is everyone anticipating a smooth launch for GTA 5 Online?

I was thinking back to what a mess the servers were for a few weeks when GTA Online launched. What's everyone anticipating? Will it go smoothly simply because of the time they've had to make sure things are running well? Or do you think it will be pretty
spotty when large numbers of people start pounding the servers again?

GTA V is the best GTA I have played. I'd give it a 8/10 so far. Interested to see how online works out when it launches though. They said they are expecting problems because they weren't anticipating as many players so needed to make more servers.

Well trust me when I say, if it's not, we will certainly here about it on this forum. Complaining seems to be the flavour it's topic when even the little thing goes wrong. People want perfection in an imperfect world it seems.

 

They still haven't released heists on last gen. I have little to no faith that it will be a smooth launch.

 

You will have to forgive my spelling. My phone likes to correct everything. Don't know why they call it corrective text. It's certainly not correct most of the time

 

I suppose it mostly depends on how many copies get sold. Those launch issues were probably a result of the shocking number of people playing on day one, and it shouldn't be like that this time around.

I tried to be positive with the Halo launch and was even excited to play. 24 hrs later and I've had my campaign save disappear twice and get disconnected in co-op. I don't think it's wrong for us to expect a game we just paid 60 bucks for to work.

I can see the whole "unprecedented amount of people trying to play online" argument IF GTA V had launched with MP unlocked. However, the game mode was unlocked for anyone until 2 weeks after launch. That means that Rockstar most likely had a very good
estimate of how many people would potentially be playing MP. Taking that into account it was bordering on an unacceptable launch.

 

There should be "This new release broke my X1" thread started every time a new game is released!
