Is DVR still locked behind Gold Paywall?

The ability to record and edit videogame footage using DVR and upload it to the internet? Is it still only 5 minutes aswell?

Well, this is interesting. Like you said, it's basically seems like the majority of the cool Xbox One features will be locked behind a pay wall. I guess it's not like we all didn't see it coming but at the same time, I think a lot of it is unnecassary, such as the DVR feature being behind a pay wall. While Microsoft have made some nice changes recently, it still seems like they have a habit of making things harder for themselves.

I'm not sure about the answer to your initial question in the subject line, but it is still just 5 minutes - nothing has changed there, although I've heard you could take multiple 5-minute clips and easily stitch them together. I've never tried it though,
so I don't know if that actually works. That being said, IMO and experience using it, 5 minutes is generally more than long enough. If for some reason it isn't, you could always stream a broadcast using Twitch and save your clips that way.

 

Well from what I heard, the ability to record gameplay footage (DVR) was only possible for paying Xbox Live Gold members. Just wondering if this is still the case for Xbox One.
