Is Dolby Support Via Controller Definitely Coming?

As the title asks really, has it been 100% confirmed that the headset adapter will support dolby surround? Thinking of buying the XO Sevens but if I can get more from an older headset I'll go for the X42s or something. I don't mind waiting, just don't want
to wait for something that will never happen.

Xbox One unable to detect that my receiver supports DD5.1, DD7.1 or DTS

I just tried playing a Blu-ray Disc w/Dolby Digital via optical output and still no surround. I had to go back and hook my

PS3 up to get my receiver to display on the panel: Dolby Digital. I assume no DTS either via optical. Wow, this thing has been in development since xbox 360 launched in 2005 and it doesn't have surround sound via optical output nor 3D support from the
go.....wow, definitely worth the price tag........NOT!

 

Still no Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround after update

Dolby Digital is surround sound. There is a separate option for stereo audio on the optical output. I can definitely tell a difference between stereo and surround with my A40s, and the bitstream Dolby Digital is definitely surround.

 

No official word just PS said in a tweet that the only thing stopping it was software not hardware, and given the shape audio chip is designed with this type of processing in mind I am sure they will, but nothing official.
