    Is DLC region free on Xbox One?


    If I buy a game from Germany will the DLC code that comes with it work with my Italian Xbox One. They're both EU so it shouldnt be a problem can anyone confirm it for me? Btw I had no problem using UK dlc on my 360 but not sure about Xbox One

    Hi people, i wanted to know if Xbox One games were region free, like if someone had to play only the base game and not the DLCs. Is an Xbox One game bought from one region going to run in another region?.

    Is DLC region free?

    I purchased a copy of AW digitally from a foreign store (I changed region) for an earlier release time. I've been told that I will now how to buy all DLC for AW from that same digital market. How true is this?

    Will I be ok to purchase all DLC from my usual region, UK, to work with my copy from a different region?

    As far as I'm aware, DLC is indeed region free. But if you are still unsure, you can contact support. Is DLC region free on Xbox One? :)

    Xbox One DLCs are region free whereas Xbox 360 DLCs are region locked.

    Incorrect.Xbox one dlc used to all be region free but people were changing location to get things cheaper so now the majority of digital content is now region locked.

    WRONG REGION CODE

    Like what ngocphi mentioned, a disc being region free doesn't means the DLC is as well. One example would be Magna Carta 2 - The DLC is only available for US region.

    Please make xbox 360 region free.

    DLC's region locked = no problem,but Full Game Region Locked = that's the problem.

    If they make xbox 360 region free atleast i can download the Full Game with no problem,as with DLC's i don't usually buy DLC's of any game.

    It is unsure as to whether region locking has been fully implemented on the console or not. However, some people have posted online that they were able to use a download code for games such as Forza 5 and played the game for a while but then they would
    no longer have access to the game and would have to purchase it again in the future.

    If you would like the game I would recommend purchasing it from your region to avoid issues.
