Is Cortana getting fixed?

I want to use voice commands but don't want the game interruption from cortana snapping on to the screen. Is there any way to stop this happening and still use voice through a headset on Xbox?

The problem is, no port for the kinect on the oneX (I use all the usb ports) so where the old Xbox commands like take a screen or record that would work without temporarily removing you from your game, we now have to use cortana so you lose control of your
game for a few seconds. So you're driving, you crash, you're flying, you crash, you"re in a battle, you die. It just makes those functions worthless.

Will MS be making the old Xbox commands usable through the headset or be making cortana work in the background? It feels like they are going backwards with these updates sometimes.

Cortana cannot "Snap TV"

Hey there ootmian,

What happens if you say "Hey Cortana, Snap Live TV" or "Hey Cortana, Snap OneGuide"? The Live TV option via the HDMI In on the Xbox One console is now accessed through One Guide, so getting to it might be a little bit different.

 

cortana is coming.... what do you want to see come of it?

I'm currently stuck with Android but will be getting a windows phone to try out Cortana.

Just want to check what happens when you try to enable the Xbox commands by following the steps at the bottom of the

Cortana Voice Commands on Xbox One guide. Do you see an error message when enabling that feature?

Nothing happens, it does not recognise the Xbox commands through the headset unfortunately, I've tried "Xbox" take a screenshot, record that and turn off without any reaction from the machine.

I tried to take a screenshot on Skyrim earlier (with cortana on) and because it opens cortana as the main program it paused my game and took a shot of the pause menu.
