    Is controller the only option for mic?


    I wanted to play using keyboard and mouse but then i noticed series x doesn't support usb audio. Can i only use controler headphones jack for audio and mic ? Is there there any alternative or i should just buy the xbox wireless headphones and how are they compared to my bose qc or ath-m50x?

    Xbox One - Headphone Mic Not Working

    your bluetooth headset with mic is designed for audio and talking via bluetooth, the cable that you can plug into your headset and then to the controller only enables audio not mic. lots of bluetooth headsets and headphones are the same, the option to plug in a cable is for audio only.

    There are some mic controllers on Win10 but as of right now i would assume the only option is to get a headset with a physical mute key which i ended up doing.

    the only other option I found was to connect an MP3 player to the 3.5mm jack on the controller and have party chat on to stream the music that way, but then you wont be able to use a mic

    Microsoft haven't produced an Xbox specific microphone, no.

    The only option is either to use a headset with a built-in microphone or find a mic that can be used via the 3.5mm audio port on the controller

    It happened to me as well NeilSBUK, If you want to use your mic to chat in titanfall you have to go to your Kinect settings and turn off the option to use the Kinect Mic for chat, That's the only way to chat in TF. Sucks to because I hate having a wired
