Is Bedrock version worth it? Is it too different from Java?

windows 10 version means you can play with others and cross play too, java is seperate from them, but java can support a massive library of mods and has been out the longest.

bedrock edition has been adapted from the old pocket version but has realms and battle modes too.

Hello there sorry that you're going through this are you Just now switching to bedrock on ps4. If yes the java version and bedrock are two different versions so everything will not transfer over.

As blueamcat has mentioned you cannot crossplay from Java to bedrock editions. Unfortunately Java is the only available version for Mac and linux users. Bedrock is the version that is the play together version which will cross platforms. Windows 10 edition,
Pocket Edition, and console version all run bedrock.

From what I've known, bedrock does not have a MOD option, however on PC if you were to switch to java which can use MOD's then the story is a little different. My advice is to switch versions or if you use PC, then use an older version of bedrock
