    Is anyone still experiencing headset issues on the series X?


    In December, I remember they addressed an issue with the headsets but since then, my Turtle Beach Stealth 700s (Gen2) are still cutting in and out while also losing connection every 20 seconds. I have tried every troubleshoot out there besides submitting for a repair. I used the Headset on my One X and it seems to work fine so it’s not a Turtle Beach issue. I just really want to know if more people are still experiencing this or if it is less common and should submit my series x for repair.

    Also, I currently use a Elite Series 2 controller and Gen 1 Stealth 700 with the headset plugged into the controller and the controller plugged into the console. Haven’t had any issues of disconnection with it that way but I really would like to use the new gear I purchased.

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

    I'm afraid VR is not supported on Xbox Series X which means that there are no VR Headsets available for Xbox Series X.

    Xbox Wireless Headset keeps disconnecting and reconnecting with Xbox Series X in 120hz video mode

    Just got an update for series x and xbox wireless headset (0.0.9.22) i'm not an insider. And it seems that disconnecting problem was finally fixed! i've experienced sound cut outs and disconnections too often and the worst case was fh 4. I've been playing for an hour after update and haven't experienced any issues. Before the update i can't even play 10 minutes without issues. Also it seems they reduced bass in headset so i can use standart game preset.

    New Xbox Wireless Headset (2021) constant disconnecting

    Just got a brand new Series X with the Wireless headset and its cracking, distorting and dropping connection every few minutes or so. When it gets bad, it will drop entirely for a few seconds at a time before reconnecting.

    I've tried hard resetting, unpairing and pairing, updating to 9.22 firmware three times and still have the issue.

    This is so frustrating after spending upwards of $600 for this setup.

    Question for the forum is...have you all tried other headsets? I'm curious if the problem lies with my Series X or just this headset. As I see the options as being:

    • Return the Microsoft Wireless Headset for another Microsoft Wireless Headset.
    • Return the Microsoft Wireless Headset and get a 3rd party headset.
    • Warranty the Series X if the problem lies with specific hardware units.
