is anyone else sick of the gaming media

how can you call nintendo insignificant? would that not make sony insignificant considering nintendo is who they copy at every turn. nintindo wii remote sony move. nintendo the gamepad which does remote play sony hey lets make the vita do remote play. oh
an lets not for get how well the 3ds is doing is enough to make nintendo very significant. even ms are respectful to them. by the way 3ds easily the best handheld

 

Yea... Nintendo may have made a mistake with the Wii U, but they're hardly insignificant. They still sold over 20 million more Wii's than the Xbox 360, and still have the majority of the best selling games of all time. Maybe they're insignificant to some
tween COD players who think FPS are the only games out there, but Nintendo is still a huge player in the market and won't be going anywhere anytime soon. The last I saw they could easily lose as much money as they lost on the Wii U last year every year for
the next 30 years straight before they'd go bankrupt.

 

i don't see the wii u as a mistake it is a system that has great games. A system that has great games is no mistake. the game pad is a great device. the wii u is a lot more for the hardcore fan while still doing all the casual stuff the original wii did.
the wii u offers choice. you can use the game pad which any gamer that gives it a chance sees its great. or play with a normal controller or use you wii remotes and nun chuck contollers.

 

As far as business is concerned, it's a mistake since they're losing money on it. It's not a bad console at all, they just had bad timing with the release and the specs aren't really comparable to the other 2 current gen systems. I don't think they've advertised
it very well either since apparently a lot of people think the Wii U is just the game pad and it's an add-on for the original Wii. I usually fast forward through commercials though so maybe they are advertising it well and people are just stupid for all I
know.

I like the game pad alright except that the buttons are too far from the right thumbstick and I just couldn't get use to it. A Pro controller took care of that though.

 

That is very true that a lot of people are stupid. i don't see how it is possible to make that mistake with the wii u you would have to be stupid to think it is an add on for the wii. ps 4 people make me laugh the most going on about remote play did they
enjoy paying for an extra device in the vita just to do the remote play when the wii u does that through the game pad out the box.

 

I like game media when it comes to reading about reviews of games in say Game Informer or watching youtube videos about playthroughs of games I am interested in buying. For the most part I don't actively seek out every tidbit of info but I enjoy the game
media when I look for it.

I bought a game called The Witch and the Hundred Night, it's a brilliant game and I am enjoying it very much, so after playing it for a few hours I decided to read some reviews, I was expecting great scores, but no, it has been trashed by most of the popular
sites. It's a shame because it's a great game in a niche genre that needs positive ACCURATE reviews to help newcomers to the genre, and misguided negative reviews by poor journalists do nothing but harm the genre and the few great companies supporting the
genre!

It's a JRPG that plays a lot like Diablo 3 or Torchlight, it's really good and the people who reviewed it harshly have clearly not played much of the game...

 

the media always trash talk great games. if there not getting free stuff to over hype and bribes to over hype a game.

 

90% of Gaming Media is poison. Half of it is social justice whiteknighting, and the other half are so-called "journalists" spouting their moronic hipster opinions about popular games.
