    Is anyone else out there still having problems accessing XBox Live?


    I'm not at home right now so I cannot tell you what they were -- and to be honest, I'm too burned out on trying this again, so I'm just going to sit back a few days and see if MSFT will finally fix this. I've given the error codes to XBox support. As
    i said, my main interest in posting here was in seeing if I'm alone with this problem and I'm satisfied that I now have the answer to this.

    FWIW, I had three different error codes for the same error message "Unable to download XBox Live profile, try again later". I had another error code "Unable to Connect to XBox Live, try again later". These were the four I've been seeing since Sunday,
    when the blackscreen problem morphed into this issue. If you have an idea of what this problem could be / what the error code might have been for your hunch I'd be happy to confirm. From what I remember right now, the three profile codes were something
    that ended in *4cd, *041, and *051.

    Ok, here's a bunch of error codes for your enjoyment:

    -> Turn the console one, back out of logging in, get "Some XBox Live Content is Temporarily Unavaialble, Status Code: 8007xee2" or the same error but a different status code: 8007274c.

    -> Reboot, try to log into a profile, it asks for name and password (it correctly shows up an error if the password doesnt match), then spins forever before responding "Sorry there was a problem, 80072741".

    -> Reboot, escape, go to YouTube app, start, then try to log into a profile when it asks you to, "You console cannot connect to XBox Live", 80151904.

    -> Reboot, try downloading profiles, keep trying from various places, repeating the same operation: I get the same message, "Sorry XBox Live Profile can't be downloaded right now", but three different error code (seemingly for no particular reason).
    Different error code seem come up at various stages of the process. They are 800704CD, 80072751 (usually comes up after I enter an email name), 80072741 (sometimes, it lets me get the password view and then throws this error).

    Appreciate if you can detailing out any troubleshootings steps you have tried so far, so we don't post up solutions you've already tried.

    I'm on an ActionTec modem GT724WGR. CenturyLink in Seattle. It's a wired connection. I've tried everything that XBox Live Customer service told me to try... reset connection, port forwarding, etc.

    ... and the connection test from the bold bits? Was everything okay with that? I'm beginning to get worried about people who had shared removing the system update. Is that what you've done also?

    For connection test, I get all green when I just log in. After I start getting errors from XBox Live subsequent connection tests fail too (at the XBox Live connection stage). Resetting connection setting to factory defaults and rebooting the console
    makes it green again. Until you try to connect to XBox Live....

    I have a hard drive and a memory card. On the hard drive, per XBox Support instructions, two days ago I removed the XBox Live Update. Since I did this, I fail to update whenever I try to do it -- and basically cannot proceed with anything related
    to Live. On the memory card, I have the latest update. There the problem repros as described in the original message.

    Note also that I can see the weblogs on the router and I see calls going back and forth between the the router to various XBox Live sites when I do all these operations. This again makes it hard to believe that this is a network problem.

    the "memory card" as primary?

    How to safely remove, or add, hard drive

    I also have not been able to connect to Xbox Live on my 360 ever since the big server issue. I don't connect every day, so this started for me last Friday. When I try to connect I get a box that pops up saying "Your connection to Xbox Live has been lost.
    Please sign in again." It has the option of testing the connection at the bottom which I have done multiple times. Everything comes up green and thumbs up. Pretty frustrated. It sounds like it won't help trying to contact anyone.

    Hi @LMatz,

    Could you try clear up your system cache at least 3 times, and if you are sure that your security proofs are up to date, deleting your profile, that is 'profile only', to keep the saved games intact, and re-downloading you profile again?

    If that is not helping you, or if you not sure about it, feel free to create a new thread detailed with the issue you have, if you have: any given error codes, and what you have done so far trying to resolve the issue.

    @taidara -- that's what I'm talking about, I've tried it (many times) with the Hard drive on and I tried it with the memory stick (and HD removed). It's the same issue. Until I uninstalled the latest update on the HD, so that there now it's the problem
    with not being able to install the latest update. On the Memory card, it's still the original issue of not being able to commit. Please do note all of the info above that shows that this is not likely to be network failure. So to summarize: no a network
    failure. Not a media failure. What could this possibly be but a service failure?

    But XBox Support wouldn't escalate... or rather they claim that they would escalate but don't, so we'll never know. They don't know what it is, nothing they say works, so they say it must be some kind of device failure because on their side the service
    page doesn't show any problems. Now that I haven't had the service for nearly a week, I'm seriously considering switching to Chromecast for all of the TV needs and PS4 for gaming.

    As of 1am CST my Xbox cant connect to Xbox Live at all.

    and like most of us im sure, im messaging from my Laptop on the same internet connection.

    Any idea why stuffs gotten so messed up the past month or so?

    I've never had problems like this before.

    This is for @AlexZ80. Any other who is going to try this is at your own risk and I'm not responsible for the consequences.

    Now that being said

    Important question to @AlexZ80. After taking off the system update, I may assume that you've declined the update popup when asked or did you accepted, and immediately thought, stupid decision because it was a mistake and got the update aborted?

    If no, Can you, just for sure, unmount the xbox from the internet, and to keep the safed games move it on an usb storage. then Harddisc in only. Very important. Then remove the system cache (again 3 times), console back to factory settings, format the harddrive,
    internet back in, and then try to re-download the system update again only this time Accept the update instead of decline.

    - Go to your Dashboard

    - Go to settings

    - Click on System

    - Click on Storage

    - Mark the HDD (but don't click A)

    - Press LB RB X LB RB X

    - Now you have to click on Yes an restart your console

    After the restart you have to perform the update, accept, and leave it the whole process alone till its done.

    Let us know how that goes!
