Is anyone else out there still having problems accessing XBox Live?

I see MSFT has removed their service alert about this, but the problem hasn't been resolved for me. I don't get the black screen starting apps, but it's a small consolation given that I cannot connect to any XBox Live profiles anymore at all

Removing local profiles and trying to download the profile results in a plethora of confusing errors -- it's a different error and a different stage of failure (right away, after entering email, after entering password, etc) depending on the time of
day, but it still hasn't worked at any point. I have two different live accounts and it's the same for both of them.

To clarify: everything worked splendidly for me until last Wednesday, when the black screen problem started happening. It persisted like until Sunday. At around the same time MSFT announced that it solved this problem, I stopped being able to connect
to XBox Live at all.

 

Did you tried follow the steps listed in that order on this page?

If that is not helping you, what did you try that particular day before you found out that xbox live had a service alert at that moment?

Is there an error code you receiving?

 

Yep, I've tried all of these steps. On the day I started getting a blackscreen, I've figured out that same workaround with no logging into a profile until a game or app was started. It worked until yesterday. Now I just cannot log into any XBox Live
profile at all at any point.

I get different errors depending on the time of day. Sometimes it tells me my network is down (which is demonstrably not true). Sometimes it tells me that some functions of XBox Live won't work, try again later. When I try to import a profile, it sometimes
let's me get to the password and sometimes errors out earlier. I've seen the "cannot download profile, try again later" error as well.. Don't have the error codes handy right now, but they are different at different times for the same operation. And
all have to do with the XBox Live connection.

I am still having a problem signing in to Xbox Live as well. I deleted my profile in an attempt to fix the random disconnects from the Xbox Live service since last week and have NOT been able to re-download my profile since. I had to create another offline
profile and now I am losing out on all of my recent achievements as a result since they are going to the offline account and not my real account. Just as you AlexZ80, all of these supposed "fixes" has NOT worked for me.

 

I can sign in to my account with no problem on my Xbox One, but not my Xbox 360. Are we no longer able to use the same account between the 2 consoles?

What good would that do? I did that already last week but I am still having the same issues. I am tired of all of the run arounds and "canned" answers/solutions I am getting about this. All I want is to be able to get my profile on my Xbox 360 signed onto
Xbox Live again This is very frustrating that something that worked fine for me since 2 weeks ago is now loaded down with issues with seemingly no apparent solution.

 

My husband is getting the same black screens until he clicks on something. If they fixed it is there a download that needs to be done?

 

Sorry folks. The way how it works in here. We prefer that everyone makes their own thread detailed with the issue they have to avoid that conversations are going to be unclear. Because otherwise diverse conversations are involved and you might not get the
right solution in your case.

 

Actually, the responses here have been very useful for me. I've spent multiple hours (including two ours with the MSFT support calls) trying to understand why things are broken for me when Microsoft has issued as Clear All for the service alert on this
issue. It's been a tremendous waste of time. What it looks like now is that the issue hasn't really been fixed for multiple customers (and really they shouldn't have cancelled the service alert for this problem because it's not been fixed for many of us).
This saves me time to try to investigate this problem further and go through a bunch of potential workarounds because it's so clearly a service issue.

 

The time when the service alert was prescient there were no error codes involved. They all got a black screen and were able to login not through the dashboard but 'in-game'.

You mention error codes.... Can you give us those error codes to understand those situations better.
