Is anybody else having issues with Fallout 76 crashing, due to console overheating?

[Mod Removed – Profanity]!?....Seems like Bethesda is just making games that promise a lot, but can't deliver. This game is overheating my console and shutting it down, I just expected it would be better since the had the beta out, that
they would've fixed this issue before it was released.

Seriously though I am wondering if this is an issue for anybody else.

Xbox One X Crashing in Fallout 76

Hi:

I have owned my Xbox One X for a couple of years with absolutely no operating problems, what-so-ever...

I recently purchased Fallout 76; installed it and played it. It has always been kind of cranky / unstable but relatively minor issues. Two nights ago, while playing, the screen went black and all controls froze. I had to manually turn the console off,
then back on. Success. Started playing again. Crash again. And again. Went to bed.

Last night I started the system, was able to log onto the game and play for about 5 minutes and another freeze and black screen. Went on line to find support. Did the hard start - turn off the console, unplug the power cord, wait 30 seconds. System restarted.
Loaded the game, crash!. Turned off the computer, unplugged power cord, waited 30 seconds, plugged in the power cord, held the bind button and eject button, pushed the start button, continued holding the bind and eject button for 10 seconds, heard two chime
sounds, released buttons. System reboots to screen allowing resetting the console. Choose the option that saves my games and apps. Reset process crashes. Start again. Process crashes. Start again. Get back to the screen allowing a reset. Start again.
Finally, I get back to the 'Home' page. Start Fallout 76. Play 5 minutes, crash. I go through the above process two more times... On the third process, success. I load Assassins Creed Odyssey to see if this issue is general of specific to one game. Play
ACO for ~ 30 minutes, no issues what-so-ever.

Questions:

1. Any way to know this is truly an issue created by Fallout 76?

2. If it is a Fallout 76 issue, will the new patch, out today, deal with it?

3. If it is not a Fallout 76 issue, and It continues to occur only with Fallout 76, what are my options?

4. All my games are digital and are stored on a separate 2TB disk. Could this be a problem? Am I better off keeping on-line games stored on the console?

5. Can I delete Fallout 76 and reinstall the game as a fresh new install without having to pay for it again? If 'yes' how?

FYI: While trying to reset, I would find error codes associated with each crash. I tried to research those but searches always returned 'no data'. In all cases, the code would start with E106. The last nine digits would vary between three sets of numbers
I don't have handy at the moment.

Error when buying games in the store

I have the same issue im trying to buy fallout 76.

 

I assume you’re talking about Fallout 76? Yeah I’ve read a lot of reports and posts about this issue. Not surprising as the series from 3 on has always been poorly optimized.

 

You’re correct it is fallout 76. I will never ever buy a pre-order again, Microsoft refuses to reimburse me for this game. Probably because I bought it in June, I couldn’t even use it until just last week. It’s as much use to me now, as it was in June.

Yes, I have no problem playing games, or watching movies. I can play them all day long I could do the console on all day long. It’s that game for sure, there was issues even in the beta across all the platforms. It should be illegal to sell the game that
doesn’t work. Seems like they got it to that point where they can’t get sued for selling a faulty product, and was like that’s good enough.

 

The title or the subject dont say much about what game is it... Bethesda has a bunch of games in case you didnt know...

 

I know, forgot to add it, but all of their games have problems.

 

A lot of people have this problem at the moment, i can confirm.

I have the One X and it stands vertical and in large open space.

I have seen that vertical seem to suffer less the heating so try to stamd it and obviously take the console on the top of somenthig...not inside.

I only hear the fans ramp up 2 times when I had to load up a HoloTapes in to a Terminal it was extremely laggy so I put non Quest Tapes in the stash.

But all in all it seems to have been fine.

I believe there is an update today so it might help with some bugs

 

I don't know what it is, but I'm facing the same problem in RDR2, and I read about others having their X One X shutting down when they were jumping off the plane in PUBG. Microsoft Support said it's a know issue of the game, not the console. I think we
were just the luck ones and got the grand prize ticket that give us the incapacity to play games.

 

I've heard of a lot of technical issues with this game but I haven't heard of this issue yet. I'm glad I've decided to pass on this game.
