Is a Refund for a game possible, which was not clearly priced?

Hello together,

first I apologize for any issues with my english. it's not my native language, so please bear with me.

I am currently quite dissapointed because of the game Fortnite, which I preordered last week. It seemed quite fun to play and so why not buying it. Though this was before a friend told me, that the game will be Free 2 Play in 2018. This is not shown at the
store description, so I had no idea that this will be happening. If I had known this, I would have never bought the game to begin with. I am no supporter of Free 2 Play Games for obvious reasons. So I kinda feel robbed of my money at this point.

Is there a possibility for a refund in such a case? in my opinion this should have been clearly marked in the store description.I wouldnt even mind if Microsoft would keep the money and I would be able to choose at least another game instead, one which wouldnt
get free in about half a year...

Sorry but it clearly states no refunds when you buy a game from the marketplace.

You won't get a refund,epspecially just because you don't like the game.

You should always download the demo of a game first if possible to see if the game's for you or not.

Thanks for the answer but that didnt really help me. During working hours i dont have the possibility due to my job to access the support chat/phone there. Thats why i originally posted my issue here. Is there no xbox/ms representive who can help me? I even
read today, that Fortnite will stay in Early Access until the f2p launch in 2018... this is really not what i paid for, in more than one way. I am deeply disappointed here, and if you look at my game history you can see that i am not one who only play one
or two games in a year. Normally iam also very well informed about games, but this was kinda well hidden...

 

The information from Smwutches is correct, unfortunately the xbox/ms representatives are unable to help with billing issues on the forums. Phone/Chat support is going to be your best point of contact for any billing issues like this. Thanks a ton for your

I feel like the same circumstance could arise when you purchase a game from the Xbox store and a few months later it is free with Gold. At the time it cost money even though later it became free. I wish you luck in your pursuit of
a refund. Chat with support about billing is the best chosen option.
