    Is a hard drive data transfer possible?


    I was planning on picking up the Advanced Warfare console and selling my current system to a good friend. Is there a way to transfer all my game saves and progress to another system? I probably will decide against picking up the bundle if it is not possible.

    How to transfer everything from the Halo console to the GOW3 Console?

    The data transfer cable will not plug into the Halo hard drive. The transfer cable evidently cannot tranfer dater from a console with an internal hard drive to another console with an internal hard drive. I will have to transfer my data to an older external
    hard drive, then transfer it to the Gears console. I just hope I do not lose any data.

    Xbox 360 transfer cable

    The Xbox data transfer cable is only meant to transfer data between Xbox hard drives. Also, 3rd party cables can cause problems with reformatting the hard drive so you lose everything, including hard drive space sometimes.

    All your game saves are automatically stored in the cloud, so as soon as you sign into your new console (using the same profile) all your game saves will be there. You don't need to take any extra steps; it works effortlessly as long as you were connected
    to the Internet when you played the games in question.

    The transfer cable would transfer data from hard drive to hard drive. But it's not possible to transfer anything between accounts.

    Hi there. I'm happy to say that the data transfer is possible as long as you use the 2nd generation Xbox data transfer cable. Enjoy your new hard drive!

    Something else to try is power the xbox off, remove the hard drive you're transferring the data from, connect the data transfer cable to the xbox and power on, once the xbox reaches the dashboard connect the hard drive you're transferring the data from to
    the data transfer cable.

    -

    If you are asked at all to configure the hard drive do not proceed any further, third party cables will wipe all the data and make the drives useless as xbox hard drives.
