Is a fixed planned?

When you purchase a game and years later, you are STILL dealing with completely unacceptable bugs, it is EXTREMELY annoying. The issues are not limited to online multiplayer either. It is such a rip-off to buy a game and have to deal with this greed/laziness.
Any other product would have forced recalls, boycotts, and more vocal consumer outcries.



Here are some of the worst offenders, in my experience:



Ultimate Mortal Kombat - Like most Midway games on XBLA, this title was slapped together and pushed out the door as quick as possible. The stages NEVER cycle in multiplayer - you are stuck playing on the same damn level over and over again. Secondly, when
you go thru the rather lengthy process of unlocking Rain, Ermac and Mileena, guess what - the game usually won't save with them unlocked!



Shinobi, Sonic 1-3, Golden Axe, Streets of Rage 2 and nearly every other Sega game on XBLA - Horrible DRM issues are STILL present on ALL these games. It is a total joke. The awesome revised, MS License Transfer process does not correct these issues. Sega
has made so many mistakes it's hard to keep up. However, they should see that their early 90's portfolio is a goldmine and make every effort to ensure these titles get the respect they deserve. If I were running things at Sega, fixing these XBLA titles and
other re-releases would be a TOP priority.



Local co-op - Over the weekend, it was staggering to see how many games there are with stupid, untested, ridiculous glitches associated with local multiplayer. Zombie Apocalypse, for example, only allows achievement unlocks for Player 1, even if the other
signed-in profiles are Live Gold accounts.



Obviously, online multiplayer issues are largely the responsibility of the devs and publishers. But, come one, Microsoft. Test a bit more thoroughly before certifying a release.



Remember the time right before the launch of the 360, and how critical it was for Microsoft to handle backwards compatibility? They actually changed video card manufacturers to ensure the 360's titles would work on the next system. How about a new effort
to ensure these games function the way they are supposed to?

Unfortunately, activision is in a position right now where they don't need to worry about fixing these things. People buy their games anyway, so why would they waste their development cycles on this when they can just have their people work on the next game
in the series.



Don't buy the games anymore, it's all we can do. Even though I think the COD series had the most potential, the battlefield series is doing much more with the potential they have. Unfortunately, I don't see the COD series dying off anytime soon, there are
just too many folks hooked on it.

feh. this crap is why i dont buy COD games. i'll stick with halo, thank you very much. cheaters still show up on them, but its harder to do. hopefully 343 will maintain the high standards that are associated with halo multiplayer and not let the series get
hacked/modded excessively by morons trying to cheat at it
