Is 8 Hours Too Long For A Single Player Campaign?

I'm glad we have 8 hours to be honest. I loved the first titanfall, but it was sorely missing a campaign. I hope it's more than just multiplayer with bots.

Congratulations on graduating from Halo's Heroic difficulty! However, reviewing your post, I noted that you've chosen the 'last-gen' versions of each Halo game. But wait, don't you own the Xbox One too? Did you not consider the Master Chief Collection for
its 'current-gen' overhaul? I've just finished a brief return to duty, running through a number of cross-game playlists, and as ever the speed and efficacy of current-gen is second to none. Hard to believe that you'd consider stepping back, especially to play
through the entire series!

Not only that, but a concerted effort to do better (now that you've been initiated, no true Halo fan can call it quits until Legendary is put to bed) means there's like a ZILLION Gamerscore to be had! I jest, but it's close... some 6000G, and plenty of incentive
for replay. Although it's arguable that eight hours would be an adequate runtime for most "normal" FPS games...

Back in the day it was normal for Legendary newbs to take almost that long to finish just *one* of Halo: CE's legendary missions - myself included lol. But yeah, like any armchair athlete, it's all muscle memory by now because Master Chief is certainly a
tough - but fair - taskmaster.

Was going to make the same comment as Skridger, i.e. hope it's not just multiplayer with bots!

I never believe the quoted time for a campaign anyway, I like to take my time and enjoy a game. If they are saying it's an 8 hour campaign then it's probably more like 15 for me, and as others are saying by the time you've replayed it on harder difficulties
your play time has gone up again.

I'm guessing a lot of people might treat this a bit like COD anyway and jump straight into multiplayer and ignore the campaign. Especially if they've played TF1 and are used to there not being a campaign.

I can't remember which Halo it was on 360, but I remember doing it on Legendary and one of the last few missions you were in a scorpion tank (or some kind of vehicle) driving along a big long road and I'm sure it took me about 8 hours just for that one mission
after dying like a gazzilion times lol!

(1) I didn't buy Halo: Master Chief Collection because as awesome as the Master Chief is, I am sick and tired of playing as him. The only reason that I bought Halo 4 was to play Spartan Ops, I didn't care at all to play the Story Mode of Halo 4.

Halo 3 is my favorite Master Chief game

Halo Reach is my favorite Halo game ever

Halo 5 was a great game (except for the part where I had to play as the Master Chief, I wish that these parts were just cutscenes). I want to play a Halo game where it is all about Team Osiris

(2) I play to have fun, Legendary difficulty setting is not fun. Legendary difficulty is the exact opposite of fun.

(3) I don't care about achievements and gamerscore LOL

The only way I won't finish the campaign first before going into the MP, is if it's boring, dislocated and doesn't hold my interested.
