Irregular blinking pattern on my controller

i’ve tried updating it and updating the drivers but neither worked. it just amazes me that these controllers can fail on me twice in a row despite the fact that i treat it so well.

Verify through the "Xbox Accessories" app that the controllers are up to date.

If you use them on console, delete the cache, as this sometimes solves problems related to the operation of the controls.

1. Press and hold the Power button on the front of your Xbox One until the console turns off.

2. Unplug the power cord from the back of your Xbox One.

3. Wait a minute, and then plug the power cord back in.

4. Press the Power button on your Xbox One to turn it back on.

5. Your cache should be clear at this point.

I'm having the same issue. Controller turns the xbox on but no other buttons work. Not even the sync button. I did notice that the controller has a blinking pattern when I turn it on. I assume this is some sort of error code.

I changed my controls, so what are X and Y? Couldn't stand it them being in awkward pattern on the controller.
