    IR Codes incorrect for Sharp XVZ10000 TV (projector)


    The IR Codes sent to Power Off the Sharp XVZ10000 TV require that the Power Off command be sent twice by Xbox One. Xbox One is only sending the command once.

    The Sharp XVZ10000 will display a confirm prompt when the first Power Off command is received. Sending a second Power Off command provides the confirmation.

    Please fix the IR codes sent for this TV.

    In addition, please modify Xbox One to enable the Customer to edit the IR Codes sent for each command and, should they mess up, the ability to reset them to factory defaults. I realize that this is Advanced Configuration but it would certain fix ALL of
    the IR Code problems quickly by crowd sourcing them.

    Does anyone have any ideas on how to get the Xbox One to send 2 Power Off IR commands?

    I agree but mine is sending discreet On and Off codes to my Sharp XVZ10000. But I also have a similar problem where the TV/Projector has a confirm prompt. The Power Off code must be sent twice. Xbox One only sends one Power Off. If Microsoft would allow
    us to edit the IR codes, we could fix our own. Crowd source!!!

    Can't change channel

    Did you figure anything further out?

    I am having a similar issue. My Kinnect controls my Sharp TV and Pioneer Receiver but not my Cable box, which is a Pace. I have set up an IR blaster directly to the IR port on the cable box and it still does not change the channel.

    I suspect that the IR code being sent to the box is not correct.

    Xbox One and Projectors

    I had the same problem, and I found a work around.

    On the Xbox One, go to settings->TV->Devices

    Enter your device as an "Epson EMP745". That model uses the same IR code for power as the 8350.

    To get power down to work, I had to disable the confirmation prompt on the 8350. It's under Menu->Settings->Display...->Standby Confirmation. Turn the standby confirmation to Off.

    In case you are curious, look up this phrase "NEC-Format (Custom Code = 8355h)" to find the projectors that use the same IR signals as the 8350.

    Also, make sure to go to XboxOne->Settings->TV->Power Settings to make sure the Xbox can power off your projector.

    Xbox One and Projectors

    I searched for my projector model and 'IR Code' and found a post on AVForums with the that string "NEC-Format (Custom Code = 8355h)".

    When I did a search for that I lucked into a product manual for a different projector, which I guessed was compatible. It's not perfect though, I noticed when I say "Xbox mute" it switched the video input, but I just really wanted power on and power off.
