I have ipv6 selected on my eero router but my xb series x shows I'm still connected using ipv4. Is there anywhere through the Xbox settings I can change this to reflect ipv6? Thanks in advance for any help.

    :)

    Hello!

My name is Dérek, I'm an independent platform consultant and I'm grateful for the opportunity to help you.

Shobiz, Not necessarily the console will only work if you have ipv6 active, my friend.

Is Volc6e encountering any errors while playing online?

Anyway, the configuration for access to microsoft servers would be the one below

If you do not have knowledge, I advise you to contact the ISP that they will do for you

set a fixed ip for the console/PC, open the ports described below, disable and enable the UPnP function and disable the modem firewall, if you have a modem and a router the process has to be done on both devices.

Put console/PC IP in DMZ zone.

    Port 88 (UDP)

    Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)

    Port 53 (UDP and TCP)

    Port 80 (TCP)

    Port 500 (UDP)

    Port 3544 (UDP)

    Port 4500 (UDP)

You can ask ISP(Internet Service Provider) for help

I remain at your disposal if you have any further questions.

nope, if the router issues the address, then you will get it, then the Xbox will use it, there is nothing special about ipv6 whatsoever, ipv4 is perfectly fine.

you copy and paste that info which has nothing to do with what the OP was asking. OP ignore the above.

I can't change Teredo or IPv6 settings on my Alcatel CAT7 linkhub wi-fi router

Hello Anton V, I am an independent advisor and I will be happy to help you today. My name is Khaji

I understand your frustration. Here are some solutions that could help you fix the problem with Teredo or IPv6 settings on your Alcatel CAT7 linkhub wi-fi router:

Set up the Internet connection on your router: You will need to choose the correct connection type, most often PPPoE, and enter the username and password provided to you by your Internet service provider.

Enable Teredo and IPv6 on your device: Teredo is a tunneling protocol designed to provide IPv6 connectivity to nodes behind NAT (Network Address Translation) devices that are unaware of IPv6.

To enable IPv6, follow these steps

Right click on the red icon.

Select Open Network and Sharing Center.

In the resulting window, select “Change adapter settings.”

In the Network Connections window, select “Local Area Connection”, then “Change settings for this connection” or right click -> properties.

On the connection properties page, check the box for “Internet Protocol version 6 (TCP/IPv6)

This will enable the teredo tunnel to traverse v4

Configure the IPv6 settings on your router: Go to Network-----IPv6 LAN Settings, keep the default settings as follows. Automatic address configuration type choose RADVD; the site prefix configuration type choose Delegate, click the save button

Thank you very much for your patience and understanding! If you need anything else, don't hesitate to contact us again.

    Telstra 5G and Xbox

"Do I really need IPv6 when multiplayer gaming on Xbox Live? Or is this something I should be speaking with my ISP about?"

    G'day Cradle Mountain

Check the information in this support page, IPv6 on Xbox console.

If you are connected to the NBN get Telstra to supply their latest Smart modem and/or enable IPv6 on your network access.

When I was connected to the NBN (fibre to the home) IPv6 wasn't enabled automatically. A quick call to Telstra (ISP) and they enabled it. Choose Technical support when you call.

Using IPv6 network protocol solves a lot of the issues you have especially Multiplayer.
