iPlayer and other apps in 50hz

hi - I have the 'allow 50hz' option enabled which works okay on the TV app, so my TV shows look fine with Sky HD TV, but i've cancelled Sky and will be relying on the iPlayer app and the other on demand apps when it expires in three weeks. I wanted to use
the Xbox One for everything but the screen issues are present still in every app that isn't the 'TV' app.

unfortunately iPlayer is in 60hz and exhibits the same display problems that we had with TV before the 50hz option was added.

it appears there's no way to get ALL output from ALL apps in 50hz? I don't play games on it very often so don't care about the effect on games.

everything ive found online seems to predate the 50hz option so talks about switching from auto detect to manual and then 1080p to 720p and that doesn't seem to work as when you select no it just goes back to 60hz and everything's still 60hz output.

if it's not possible to have global 50hz output please can someone confirm as I'll just sell the One and buy something else.

And other apps like the BBC iPlayer not being available, is that they haven't been released yet. Chances are they will be released sometime in the future.

 

Any answer for this one yet..?

I am not buying an Xbox One if it plays media entertainment apps 50hz content at 60hz.
