IP Protection on the new console

I need a question answered from a company representative or person on the development team of the new xbox coming out this winter. Will the new xbox have internet IP protection? DDoS attacks occur regularly in higher skilled community of the game I regularly play. This is an ongoing problem and leads to people exposing personal information frequent threats, Doxxing, and in rare cases, swatting.

This is a problem and I hope it gets fixed with the new console, because I would really hate for this to continue. There are Instagram pages and other social media groups dedicated to people ddosing on Xbox. Please let me know if there's anything I can do to help. I am not experienced with ddosing other people myself, but I feel as if this is an ongoing problem and should be fixed asap.

Sorry to hear your console was stolen. I hope you contacted the police as they can work with Microsoft to trace the IP of the console.

In the meantime you can remotely remove your password from the console by following the instructions at this link.

I would recommend changing your password first.

Then contact the police. They can work directly with Xbox to track the IP address of the console.

The police will need to get a court order to track the ip of the console. Unfortunately, Xbox will not provide this to anyone other than law enforcement personnel.

To protect yourself from a DoS attack, when your IP address has become compromised (read: someone out in the world knows it), you need to request a new IP address from your Internet Service Provider. That should be something they *can* do. As long as
you've broken off all contact with the attacker, they shouldn't be able to obtain the new IP address, and any future attacks from them will be neutralized until such time as they might get your new IP address (which is why it's important to block any contact
to or from them.)
