I keep getting booted on Madden 25 when I'm winning no connection problems but bam all of a sudden I get dropped from the game and receive a loss

how you can handle the situation, as well as a bit of background information on DoS/DDoS Attacks.

1. What is a DoS/DDoS Attack?



To start, the acronym stands for Denial of Service or Distributed Denial of Service. The most common type of attack is ICMP flooding (aka IP flooding, ping flooding) in which, to put it simply, all internet-capable devices
connected to the targeted IP Address (which could be any device connected to your home's router/gateway/modem) are kicked offline due to your bandwidth being occupied by an overwhelming number of ping/IP packets. An analogy would be it's your local area connection
being 'choked' off.

When an attack is distributed (see DDoS), it is being launched by several attackers to one target. This requires more hardware than a single DoS attack and is a lot less uncommon across online gaming platforms.

This type of attack is not Xbox Live specific, and is not launched through Xbox Live, but rather done with software which shows which displays all connected IP addresses. Attacks are launched straight to the IP address and not through the Xbox Live service.
Please do not discuss this kind of software on the forums as it is in violation of the Code of Conduct/Xbox.com Terms of Use.

2. Am I being hacked?

NO! A DoS attack is not a form of hacking in any sense. Being a victim of a DoS attack does not expose important account details such as log-in information and credit card numbers. It is, simply put, a way of harassing users by booting them
off the internet.

That doesn't mean it's not important to keep your account security in good shape. There is more info in part 5 of the FAQ. As for hacking threats, I defer the next part to a quote by Xbox Forum Support agent Mister Gwyther's wise words.

Do your best not to instigate this kind of behaviour or provoke malicious attacks against you on Xbox Live. It's recommended that you file a complaint, block, avoid and mute then move on if you are being harassed. More info on filing a complaint and blocking
communications coming up!

3. How do I fix the issue?

Read this part if you have been booted offline from a DoS Attack and cannot connect to the internet on your LAN-connected devices.

4. How can I report the attacker?

Please do not make a post calling out the users who may have attacked you. The Policy Enforcement Team does not monitor this Xbox forum and do not use the forums as a reporting tool. There is a no 'naming and shaming' policy.

If you are certain of the identity of the attacker, bearing in mind that Xbox Support cannot provide any information on the identity of an attacker, please contact the attacker's ISP (if you have applicable knowledge of their ISP...you can contact your
own ISP for more information) and report the user by filing a complaint! Here is how you can file a complaint against
the user. As highlighted, when filing a complaint, please report under Tampering --> System Tampering.

im getting booted everyday what do i need to do besides file a complaint iv done that 10 times hes still playing it dodnt work.

 

read through the link daft badger provided , apart from filing a complaint you can also submit a player review so that you are less likely to run into him again , and block the player too .
