IP becoming invalid when the Xbox is connected to the internet.

I have tried messing with the settings on everything only to get the same results. I would try to get a different isp however they are more expensive in my state. The highest speed I could get would be 1000mbps however their connection is unstable from what I heard varying from having no internet from that isp while paying for it 365 days a year to having frequent outages at random intervals though currently att is doing the same with their outdated dsl lines that are over 20 years old in rural areas where they are never replaced, maintained, or upgraded. So I am currently stuck between a the ip problems, the outdated dsl connection with 4mbps speeds(25mbps is considered broadband by the FCC(Federal Communications Commission) meaning my connection isn’t technically considered as broadband), and the expensive other isp companies so my current options are currently disappearing as I even try anything to find an alternate solution to this mess.

I am afraid this is not possible. My ISP, AT&T is not the best when it comes to anything so to speak. The router settings cannot be changed because they hardwire everything in meaning you can not change the ip, security, etc… Doing anything with the router is a complicated process due to it, even updating the firmware is a hassle. Their support team doesn’t even know what they are doing so doing anything involving the router is not an option besides replacing it with one since the ones the ISP provides are always outdated(the same router they have been giving us every time is priced like the most modern ones yet it is essentially the same as it has been for over 10 years) and they are barely compatible with newer devices. I can see that there is a flood of packets that keep being sent to my router at random points in time throughout the day with no pattern when the Xbox is connected to the internet, but they are not there when it is not. I know there is a fault in the line somewhere, but that doesn’t explain the excessive amount of packets I keep seeing. The highest amount I have ever seen was a few years ago when the internet was out for over 12 hours a day each day for a month due to a similar issue to what I am having now yet it resolved itself back then.

Hello again, I understand perfectly, by your description there may be something wrong with your network or even some interference, it is really a pity that they do not offer the kind of support necessary to correct these irregularities.

However, if you have a friend who has a different service provider than yours, try taking the console to it and doing some testing.

Hello Supersaiyan975, your question is a bit unusual, what I could see after some research and from experience is the time to "Lease" the IP addresses that your modem / router provides.

I don't know what your carrier or the type of equipment you own at home, but usually they use a thing called DHCP, which automatically distributes IP addresses to the internal network equipment, but this has a time and sometimes it may be short and not be assigning another correctly.

What you could try is, designate a fixed IP address for the Xbox on your modem/router, and also check if it doesn't have any firmware updates that can be done to fix any possible bugs, but this will have to do with your ISP service provider.

Try this for madden.

1) While in the game pause.

2)

A) If wireless, powercycle networking equipment.

B) If wired, disconnect ethernet cable.

3)Quit the game without saving when disconnected from the internet.

4)Reconnect to the internet and sign into xbox live. Start the game again and you should be good.
