IP Adress of Xbox one

Have you tried to make a fixed IP-adress in your router, open the ports on this IP-adress and then manually choose the IP-adress in your Xbox? That way you are always sure, that the Xbox will use the right IP-adress. Having the Xbox choose an automatic IP-adress
is not a guarantee for an always open NAT.

Having several consoles on the same IP adress all running on the wireless Network, can sometimes cause a lot of connectivity issues. What I recommend you to do is to set up a static IP adress.

Go to your Network settings - advanced settings - IP settings and then manually edit the IP adress.

Fx: you IP adress is 55.55.55.55 then change it to 55.55.55.65

Next go to your modem settings via your browser, go find your console, and change the IP adress to the exact same IP adress you changed to on the console.

By the way, with the port forwarding they are asking for a server ip adress, I entered the static ip adress from the xbox in there, is that right? cheers mate

Sadly as a qualified network technician it is not possible to hide your IP address or MAC address from any hardware that is used connecting to the internet service providers and the web.

That said a VPN would limit those from gaining access to your information so easily another way to make sure your information is protected ensure you only put the information you want others to see about you etc it will limit any information gathering possible.

I am sorry your having these concerns while playing online, rest assured xbox is paramount in protecting its players.
