IP Address

Does Xbox 360 have an IP Address? If so where can I find it? The internet provider I currently have no choice but to use, are telling me I need to find the IP Address so he can hook it up... I

If you have a router, give the xbox one a static IP address, make sure it's 'doled' out by it's MAC address.

Do that and if it's still giving you problems like that, toss that static IP on a DMZ.

 

every device connecting either to a lan or to the internet has an ip address

you can find it on xbox360 following:

settings -> system -> network settings -> configure network

if you dont make any changes, it will try to automatically have an ip address assigned if you are using a router.

in case this is not working it will be something like 169.254.xxx.xxx and you would have to set it manually,

these entries have to be matching your router or your isp

1. ip address

2. subnet mask

3. gateway

these may be different

4. primary dns server

(5. secondary dns server)
