    So one day I was minding my own business on Microsoft Edge Explorer just looking at some pictures to show my friend about something I was talking about to him. While I was searching a loud alarm started going off in my headphones. I looked at my screen and there was a message that said someone has used my IP address. I got scared and turned off my console. The reason I did that is because I get anxiety about that stuff and I get worried that something bad will happen to me irl. I don’t know if it was a virus or an actual official Microsoft warning. If someone could tell me what it is and if it’s real please help me because I have been scared to go on my Microsoft Edge since. (This was like a month ago.)

    No just one of those pop-up ads on the internet that tries to scare you into buying some sort of virus software or something. It would just be something to ignore.

    It sounds more like a pop-up ad in Edge than anything else. Unless you received an actual message from another user on Live, you wouldn't get any notifications of someone using your IP address.

    Yeah sorry about that. I’m new to this so I thought it would send me a notification to my email if I did that. I’ll change it now and thanks! :)

    Yes, it was through my Xbox One S.
