    Modem brand & model number: Huawei

    Router brand & model number: Huawei

    If Wireless, are you using a white or black external adapter, or an internal (Xbox 360S) adapter? Wired

    Things you have tried: Modem resets, god... heaps of stuff

    Is UPnP Enabled? Yes/no/Unknown No?

    Do you have a NAT error? If so, what is your NAT type? No

    Any Error Codes you encounter: Prior to this IP address error it was error code 80151901

    Who is your ISP(Internet Service Provider)? Vodafone

    After you run "Test Xbox LIVE connection" press “Y” for "More Info”. In the pop-up that appears, what are the following values, if shown? (If a value below does not appear for you, just leave it blank.)

    W: 0000 - 000B

    X: C000 - 1001

    Y: 0000 - 0000

    Z: 0000 - 0000

    ID: 0001 - 0002

    L: 8015 - 1901

    Q: 8007 - 0435

    T: Wired

    D: 0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0

    ANY HELP GREATLY APPRECIATED.



    I don't know why this is happening, nothing's changed recently to cause this to happen regarding my ISP or my modem (not to my knowledge). Started about 3 days ago. Absolutely banging my head against the wall here. Chat tech support recommended
    I do some port forwarding but I don't see how that would help. I doubt it's my ethernet cord...

    IP address error

    Greetings!

    If this is only related to an IP conflict, and if you haven't already, I would suggest that you try reset your console's network settings back to factory defaults. This process will issue new IP configuration from the DHCP server on your router.

    Go to Xbox Network Settings and select Configure Network. Select the
    Additional settings tab and Restore network settings to factory defaults.

    If your console is still not able to speak directly with the DHCP server on your router, to obtain IP configuration, try connect your console with a different Ethernet cable, if the current cable in use has become faulty and the electric signal inside of that
    cable have started to degrade. I would also suggest that you try with a different LAN port on your router as well.

    Post back and let us know how that goes.

    Okay, ChimpZealot. This is what is said for each suggestion on More Info...

    IP Address Error - The router or modem may not be automatically assigning an IP address. Try a static IP address instead.

    IP Address Error - The router or modem may not be set up to provide IP addresses. See the routers or modem's manual for steps to adjust DHCP settings.

    Hey Vesper, have you tried restoring your system to factory defaults?

    Does your console connect just fine connecting directly to the modem instead of the router?

    How about Manual IP settings?

    First let's look at your PC's settings.

    If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7: Click Start, type cmd in the search box, and press Enter. If you are using Windows XP: Click Start, click Run, type in CMD, and press Enter.

    At the prompt, type: ipconfig, and press Enter.

    Find your network connection (for example: "Local Area Connection"), and write down the following information:

    IPv4 Address

    Subnet Mask

    Default Gateway

    Make up a unique IP address for your Xbox. (For example: if your PC's address is 192.168.1.1, choose 192.168.1.11 for your Xbox.).

    Note: Each IP address on your network must be unique.

    Now go to your Xbox.

    Press the Guide button on your controller, go to Settings, and select System Settings.

    Select Network Settings, and then Configure Network.

    On the Basic Settings tab, select IP Settings, then Manual, and then IP Address.

    Enter the unique IP address that you created, and click Done.

    Select Subnet Mask, enter your PC's subnet mask, and then click Done.

    Select Gateway, enter your PC's default gateway, and then click Done.

    Click Done again to complete.

    Press B on your Xbox controller, and retest your connection.

    If manually assigning an IP address works, we know it's an issue with DHCP on your router.
