Invites sent out and invites sent to me are not arriving.

The same thing happened to me earlier of the week, I did a full power off and waited 5 minutes, then power back. It worked for me, but as others mentioned, they were having issues but was working on a fix.

My disc drive stopped working quite some time ago just like every xbox ive ever owned 😅

I'm sorry to hear that a power cycle does not seem to always work. The next thing I would suggest is to basically remove and re-add your profile from your Xbox. Go to your Account settings and select Remove accounts, remove the profile and restart your Xbox.
Re-add the profile from the Sign in tab by selecting Add new.

I would suggest telling the others you know with a similar issue to do the same and see if re-syncing your profile data help with receiving every invite notification.

I am on the original xbox one console yes. And the power cycle does fix it but only for a short period and it doesnt alway work. Like I said I’ve mentioned it to at least 3-4 other people who have had the same issue over the last week or so.

Also clear your DVD/BluRay cache as well. I clear this cache out at least once a week, we watch lots of movies.
