Invite STILL BROKEN!

We were aware of a situation where users who are inviting people not on their friends list to parties and that invite not working. This was happening with Destiny, and I can see on

your profile that you're playing that game! We believe this to be resolved at this time. Please let me know if you're still having issues!

Uh, no. I did indeed play Destiny yesterday and that I did play this game with a friend, however, we just use 'Join'. This is VERY DIFFERENT from 'Invite'. I'm still having trouble 'inviting' other players outside of Friends into the team. 'Invite' and

I am sorry to see that you are still having issues! While invite and join are different, they still perform similar functions, and we use them interchangeably here. I do understand that invite is asking
someone to join your game, while join is you jumping into their game. The functionality within the service is essentially the same, though; two people are coming together to play a game on the same team/party.

Can you expound more on what you are experiencing? Are you inviting users through Looking for Group on the console or through some other third-party site to group up when they aren't receiving it? Are they receiving the notification of the invite but then
aren't able to join because the notification isn't actionable? Is this happening with party chat or game invites? Are you able to invite your friend and see if that works without using the join feature?

Let me know these so that I have a good, clear picture of what is happening with your situation so that I can pass it along to the appropriately people.

I used DestinyLFG.net. The messaging system on this xbox.com (computer version) is experiencing problem that prevented me from messaging to the other players. It says, 'Sorry, we can't send this message right now. Try again in a while.'.

Aha! Thanks for the details. Now I see! You are running into a messaging issue we've seen a few times this year after switching to Skype messages. I had one user in particular that had the exact situation as you; DestinyLFG.net was not sending
messages because it depends on our website's messaging system.

There's a couple of steps to this. First, you'll need to
reach out to us over phone. Let them know the situation about xbox.com messaging only. We want to focus on that as the issue, as it will resolve the issue with DestinyLFG.net; because that's a third party site, if you mention it, you might
get sent to them instead of getting the help on our service you need. Ensure that they understand you are only experiencing this on xbox.com, and that troubleshooting your console will not resolve this. If they run into a dead end and are unable to get you
to our Global Escalation Support, let me know. Be sure to grab any reference numbers from your talk with them, and then I can use that to dig into my options here.

I get that this is a whole loop of support that can be frustrating. This is the process that I have to go through to be able to thoroughly assist you, though. Let me know how the chat goes about the messages in particular.

The party/game invites is something we're still seeing others experience, but is a separate issue from your messaging issue. You just happen to be running into both, and it's making it more frustrating for you. I get it, I do. I play Overwatch competitively
on my off-time and issues with party/game invites severely impacts the experience. Some of the people I play with also raid in Destiny frequently, and they end up with double the frustrations.

I'll keep you updated on the invite situation as we have more details. I also want to set expectations that I do not work weekends (no one here on the forums do). If I don't see any updates from you today, I'll see it on Monday and we'll pick it up from
there.
