invite spam harrasment

Occasionally a some miscreant will begin to spam invites. Here's what happens:

You try to block the miscreant, but the invites keep coming, since they're already in your queue.

If you're in a party and that is the source of the spam, you can leave the party, but that only keeps new invite spam from being added to your queue.

You can accept the invite, but the invites will keep coming, since they're already in your queue.

And those options are only available if you're already at the dashboard, because if you're not, the only thing the guide button will do will respond to the invite.

The next option is to shut off your xbox. And that might work, but I wouldn't be surprised if those notifications were delivered at your next log-in...

Why isn't this functionality rate limited down to once every 15-30 seconds after the third identical invite to the same session ? Or since repeated rapid invites are pretty obviously harassment, why not an instant time-out for the offender ? Or why aren't rapidly
arriving identical invites collapsed into a single message to the target user ?

How to file a complaint

1.Press the Guide button on your controller.

2.Select Friends, and then go to the Players tab.

3.Select File Complaint. Then, select File Complaint again on the next screen.

4.Select one of the following general reasons for filing the complaint:

◦Profile: The player's Gamertag, personal picture, or personal information contains inappropriate material.

◦Text and Voice Communications: The player used vulgar, hateful, harassing, or threatening language in voice or text communications.

◦Video Communications: The player was vulgar, hateful, harassing, or threatening in video communication.

◦Tampering: The player tampered with a game, an Xbox 360 console, Xbox Live, or the feedback system.

◦Select one of the following specific reasons for filing the complaint:

◦Profile: Gamertag, Personal Picture, Personal Info, Player Content

◦Text and Voice Communications: Text Message, Voice Message, Voice Chat, In-Game Voice

◦Video Communications: Picture Message, Video Chat

◦Tampering: Feedback Tampering, System Tampering, Cheating

◦Select File Complaint. (Or select Don’t File if you decide not to file the complaint.

This video is a lie.

Many people go unpunished after being reported by me. I report people that have modded profiles, modded gamerscore, cursing and racial slurs in their bios and many of them never get banned. Funny thing is that many of them are xbox live ambassadors. So it
seems like people get special treatment.
