Invite Party Bug - Party Issue

So here's the scenario. I'm playing a game of Killer Instinct, I'm invited to a friend's lobby and I hit "launch" in my notifications menu. As soon as I hit that I get asked to join a frends lobby. Good so far. But after a match I choose to leave. However,
for some reason (I feel it's with Xbox, not Killer Instinct), I am continuously prompted to join the lobby, over and over again.

The party system that Xbox One currently is, unfortunately, still bugged. Because I hit the launch button, I join a friend's lobby
and it thinks as thought I'm in a friend's party, which I'm not. When I attempt to go into a Ranked Match online, it says I need to leave the party. I'm not in one though. So my question is, why am I being prompted to leave a party in a ranked
match, when I am not in one?

I've attempted to close Killer Instinct and re-open it, but I am still prompted to join a match, from the same person who invited me to start with, upon starting the game, even though numerous times before I have opted to not join it. I
have done a hard reset of my xbox so I can go into a ranked and this has solved my problem of going into ranked, but I don't think this should happen.

The feature to invite friends is a great first step for the Xbox One, but in the case of Killer Instinct, it hinders your ability to go online in a ranked match in order to play someone, because it considers you to be in a party when you really aren't. I
hope somewhere in the April update there is a solution to this.

Xbox App crashing

Recently after a windows update i notice that i would not receive party invites on the xbox app, annoying alone, but it also came with another bug...If im already in a party and someone else invites me to another party the Xbox app crashes. Making have
to open the app again and rejoin the party, making it impossible to be in a party with constant invites.

 

Joining Invite Only Parties on Smartglass

I am unable to join a invite only party using the windows 10 smartglass app, I already have received a party invite. Is it a bug or can we not do that right now?

 

You may not be in a party, but having joined your friend the console is bundling you into the same game session, hence it thinks you want to keep playing with your friend.

If you actually were in a party, the easiest way to resolve is to snap party, then press Leave and then Game (you could even stay in a party and you would still be able to play ranked matches with others).

If you're not in a party, there are a couple ways this should work:

Go to Friends, locate your friend, press A to bring up their profile, go to the right where it says they're in a game session, click A for details and you should be able to select Leave Game.

Or - Launch another game, then launch Killer Instinct again.

Or, as you have already discovered - turn off and on the console.

 

I will try this method the next time it happens, or more specifically, the first option since I do not have another game as of yet for the Xbox One. I appreciate the info.
