Invite friends doesn't work

I don't generally post on the forums because I'm usually adept with fixing my issues myself. However I'v been having problems since getting my day Xbox One Day 1 edition over a year ago. I have been unable to solve this problem on my own. The problem
I have been having is with inviting friends to anything I do. For the party chat, when its snapped the invite friends doesn't work. It swirls for a second then shows the Xbox logo at the top right and then nothing happens. The only way I seem to be able to
invite friends is to actually go to my friends list and select their profile individually.

Party chat broke since update today

When one friend sends invite, top left globe says "Launch" and it works. Other friend sends invite and globe says "Accept" and it doesn't work. When I click on X when friend who doesn't work in party chat sends invite, screen flashes and it goes back to
screen it was on. When I click on X when friend who does work in party sends invite, it instantly goes into party and works perfectly. There are now 4 of us trying to chat. Friend 1 can chat with Friend 2, not 3 or 4. Friend 3 and 4 can chat, but not with
1 or 2. ALL of us have update.

Seems like each update actually makes stuff worse...?

On a side not, glad you added a 3rd developer to the CoD line. Now can you please remove Infinity Ward?

Cant join party & game.

cant join partys and friends games. invites dont work. also highlighting names and going through their profile doesn't work. help. any suggestions? checked all settings, all correct.

I'v uploaded the same issue to my OneDrive but in Minecraft, it is the same issue for any game that uses an 'invite friends' option. This is the same issue that I get in the party app.

Thought this update would fix the perplexingly convoluted process of inviting friends to games and joining parties. Now I don't even have the opportunity to weave my way through that because, as of this update, the whole process is straight up broken. Inviting
a friend to your party doesn't work. Inviting them directly to the game doesn't work. I can't even get a party chat going to voice my frustration with the friends I'm trying to invite. At least I could do that before this update. Next gen should be an evolution,
not a devolution.

Maybe restart your Xbox if that doesn't work u could try and make a world and invite your friends to the world

The Xbox Team doesn't send out invites anymore. You will need to be invited by a friend.

Microsoft doesn't send out invites anymore. You'll need to have someone from your friend's list send you an invite.
