Invisible window on desktop.

Everytime I use my Xbox Series X controller on my PC it causes an invisible window with borders to pop up in the middle of my desktop. I can’t Interact with it or find a way to close it and it’s become really annoying. I’ve tried updating my drivers and reinstalling my 3070 driver, but it still doesn’t go away. I’ve tried switching from connecting the controller through Bluetooth or the Xbox Wireless Adapter as well. Multiple restarts haven’t fixed it either. This is my first real PC so any help would be appreciated.

I couldn’t find anything wrong in task manager and I did troubleshoot Bluetooth, but it’s still popping up.

Thanks for the update! Of how I see your screenshot, it seems the invisible window is trying to launch an app or provide a message regarding the setup. To see, what it could be I will ask for few questions and provide you a troubleshooting.

Kindly connect your Controller to PC and when the invisible window shows, please launch Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) > More details and check for any suspended or not responding task. Please take a screenshot and conceal any personal or business-related information.

Please disable or temporarily turn off any antivirus, antimalware, PC optimizer or any apps that blocks launching or quarantine any processes to your computer.

Run troubleshooter for Windows on Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot. *Leave your Controller connected to the PC with bluetooth. * After it finishes, restart device (if there is new update allow it to be fully installed).

Kindly go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters > Bluetooth > Run the troubleshooter.

Hi Kathy,

Yes I still need assistance. Sorry for taking so long to get back to you. I didn’t see the email notifications. The bug happens when I use bluetooth or the Xbox Wireless Adapter to connect the controller. The headset I have does not have this issue either, and I use the adapter for that as well. My windows and all my drivers are updated. I’ve tried reinstalling my GPU drivers too. Here’s a photo of what it looks like. It pops up instantly when any Xbox controller connects to it. Notice there is no way to click out of it.
