Invert the Y-Axis Option for Destiny

Xbox 360 version of Destiny has no option to invert the y-axis.

As a First Person Shooter and as a Third Person Shooter, I have always inverted the y-axis, since for me it is way more natural a way to handle a firearm than not having the y-axis inverted.

You see, when handling a real gun, or when just standing around, when I want to aim/look upwards, I lean back, hence for the controller it makes sense for me to pull the y-stick back. When I want to aim/look down, I lean forward, so on the controller it
makes sense to push the y-stick forward. In fact to aim/look upward, leaning forward to do so is so very awkward as to be impracticable. And vice versa for aiming/looking down would have you looking over your gut to look down, also impracticable.

So, for many of us gamers, especially shooters, inverting the Y-axis is natural.

All the shooter games I have played throughout the years has the option to invert the Y-axis: Halo series, Gears of War series, Left4Dead series, Resident Evil series, BioShiock series, the various Tom Clancy series, etc. All have the option to invert the
Y-axis.

But, at this moment (September 9 and 10, 2014), Destiny for the Xbox 360 does not have that option.

All my built-in reflexes currently make the game unplayable for me. I am at a great disadvantage in the game. And since I have two Xboxes, and have invested in two copies of Destiny and two game passes, I have nearly $200 invested in the game, which I find
unplayable.

So, please, if you are a shooter like me, and if you have all your experience tied up in Y-axis inversion (and even if you are not), please support me in asking for the inverted Y-axis option by posting your own request for the invert the Y-axis option.

Invert X Axis in Xbox one controller settings

Hi,

For a lot of games there is an options to invert only Y axis. Currently this is the case in settings for the Xbox one controller settings. Are there plans to be able to invert the X axis in the Xbox one controller settings?

I play with both X axis and Y axis inverted. For instance in Far Cry 4 there is an option to invert only the Y axis. I was disappointed to find out that I couldn't invert the X axis in the Xbox one controller settings.

My question again, Are there plans to be able to invert the X axis in the Xbox one controller settings?

You can adjust the Y-axis by choosing "Controller" at the title screen, choose your save slot, then select Options, then Options again (not Controls), and either scroll left or right to invert the Y-axis gameplay or Y-axis camera to your liking. I don't
see an X-axis option.

 

Yes it does. But it does not automatically set. Go to menu, options, LOOK axis.

 

PS: I think the Borderlands 2 game default is to invert the y-axis.

Also, the Xbox 360 itself lets the user specify the option/preference to have the y-axis inverted, but Destiny ignores that preference. Does its own thing. Ignores the user. Ignores Xbox preferences.

I play inverted for similar reasons you do. And the fact, I played mostly WW1,WW2 and Space flight sims on the pc for years before I got a console. What is bother, is if you are playing a game with only normal settings like Walking Dead Season 2, and then
go play on an inverted setting game.

What I didn't realize, Jasperrdm, is that there was even that menu. It was a surprise to me to actually find it, and to see how it worked, etc, because Destiny took off into the game right away, and left me with the defaukt of not y-axis inverted.

I withdraw my complaint. There is a way to invert the y-axis.
