Invalid S/N Elite Controller

Discus and support Invalid S/N Elite Controller in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I really need to get my controller registered so I can have it repaired but when I put in the S/N is says it's invalid.     Invalid S/N Elite Controller


    I really need to get my controller registered so I can have it repaired but when I put in the S/N is says it's invalid. And yes I'm using the right numbers because it's label S/N on the box so at this point I have no idea what to do

    i also wish to register my elite controller but get the error.

    xbox one registered ok but elite controller serial number too long so shows invalid.

    any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks Matty, but that doesn't resolve the issue. Already been there and it sends me to the Xbox Online Service Center, which doesn't accept the S/N of the controller.

    Invalid S/N Elite Controller

    You can't register an accessory as you would a console. As you have found the form won't accept the S/N. If you have registered an Xbox One console then choose that and select replace an accessory. The page will then ask which accessory and when you choose
    Elite controller from the list you can input the product ID (serial number) at that point.

    SERIAL NUMBER PROBLEM

    Is this a wired or wireless controller?

    The S/N for a wireless is behind the battery pack near the bottom on a white sticker. (Least for me it was)

    Not sure about a wired controller's S/N as all I own are the wireless.

    Xbox One S - a few steps forward but many backward (vs Xbox Elite)

    Xbox one s IS compatible with Xbox one elite controller so if you don't like the Xbox one s then use the elite controller.
